the rooms were as pictured. i stayed in a suite for my friends 25th birthday. food wasn’t the best but the staff was great!! our beach was also beautifull. i would go back.

Everything was great the foid was exceptional plenty of options. The Resort was very cold we turned the Air Conditioning off on the first night but it was still cold in room. We even got extr blankets, but with the Air off the rooms had a damp odor. But in all I enjoyed my stay. The Front desk staff was exceptional.

Unfortunately, this resort is not even deserving of a 3 star rating and was far below expectations. The rooms are poorly maintained. The safe box was broken, and almost every metal surface in the room, including the lights, mirror, and safe, was visibly rotten and corroded. The electric plates did not work properly, and the balcony door was also broken. Overall, the room felt old, neglected, and far from any reasonable resort standard. Entertainment was extremely basic compared to similar level resorts I have stayed at before. The shows take place in a freezing cold bar with overly loud speakers in a closed space, making the experience uncomfortable rather than enjoyable. There are no activities or games at all, no billiards, foosball, ping pong, or any kind of social entertainment. The resort itself is very small, with no place to walk or explore except around two tiny pools, which becomes repetitive very quickly. For an adults only resort, we expected fun, music, and energy. Instead, it felt more like a senior resort, with no music at restaurants or bars and a very dull, lifeless atmosphere overall. Basic amenities were also lacking. When we asked for simple items such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, we were told to go buy them ourselves, which is disappointing for a resort at this price point. Overall, this stay seriously ruined our experience in the Bahamas. While the beach itself is beautiful, the hotel urgently needs major improvements.

Upon arrival check-in did not go smoothly at all. There was a discrepancy with the reservation ( which I take accountability for) however when trying to figure out the best way to rectify the situation management was slightly insulting and threatening (there was mention of security which was unwarranted and added to my frustration). Furthermore, the staff made incorrect assumptions about our room assignments, shouldn’t the staff ask guests about their preferences rather than make assumptions…..this was the second insult and we haven’t even gotten to the room yet. Now that we are finally able to check-in and go to the room the view is not as expected. The room was listed as an ocean view not a partial ocean view. These hotels play on wording so be VERY careful with the room you choose. When trying to change the room I was told they can’t control the space next to building (rude). Ok fine but at least be upfront about the room. Nowhere in the description did it say PARTIAL view. On a positive note, the best area for this hotel was the pool and with the exception of management most of the staff was polite and friendly. Unfortunately not my best experience….and I travel quite often.

The staff was absolutely amazing! Every single staff member we encountered was friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Hugh was the best bartender and the drinks were great. Food was also very good. The building could use a bit of updating but the wonderful staff made up for that.

I had an okay time at this resort. It's great that there's a beach view and you enjoy a balcony with ocean view. Also, there's unlimited drinks and food. Food is 3/5. The hotel is outdated and there isn't much to do there. One bar by the pool and another one indoor which isn't big. It's not a party resort like other rius i've been to. I hope you get a car rental or have plans during the trip like I did cause if you're at this resort all day then you'll be bored. I wasn't happy with the random crap smells in the room and at this resort in general. This resort lives up to it's name as a 3 star resort. I will not stay at this resort again.

Key points: Outdated resort with poor maintenance and unfriendly service. Clean, close beach and good drinks were the only highlights, but overall not worth it. We stayed at RIU Bahamas for 6 nights in an Ocean View Junior Suite, and the experience was far below expectations. The lobby, restaurants, and hallways were uncomfortably cold, and the lobby had an unpleasant smell. Check-in felt unwelcoming — no welcome drink and an outdated system where the room key is separate from the wristband. Most staff were unfriendly and sometimes rude. The room was very old and poorly maintained, with visible mold and rust. The AC barely worked, the sheets were sticky the first night, the blanket was worn with bleach stains, and even the replacement sheets had dirty spots. Bathroom amenities were almost nonexistent (no toothpaste, shower cap, or basic toiletries). There were only two power outlets and a broken, rusty USB port. The blinds didn’t block light and were hard to move due to rust. Food options were limited but good quality, and alcoholic drinks were very good. Entertainment and activities were disappointing. The performers were good, but the sound system was terrible, and activities were extremely limited and uninspired. Resort technology was also outdated — no easy way to call the front desk, only a QR-code messaging system with slow or no responses. On the positive side, the beach was very close to the building, clean, and easily accessible. Overall resor

The staff more than anything was wonderful and accommodating. Personable sweet and very helpful. The only thing I was upset about was the restaurants. You have to reserve a table but every time we tried there were no reservations available yet when we would go by there was always many tables open. So we didn’t get to try them. And that was disappointing since we came so far.
