I want to start by saying that we loved our stay and will be back. 10/10 would recommend. I will not be staying anywhere else and we go to the Bahamas once a year. The staff was kind and helpful. They were welcoming and made our extra special as we were on a wuick honeymoon trip.The food was delicious, the room was spotless and the whole peoperty was well maintained. I don't understand these bad reviews. Our room had a beautiful balcony with great sunset views over the ocean. No mildew smell whatsoever. It is an affordable all inclusive. Amenities were exceptional and the pools clean. People from all walks of life were met with kindness and heart felt care. It is on a public beach! Do yourself a favor, get the drink in a pineapple, the conch shell horn and a nice bracelet. Contribute to their local ecomony. You only live once! Thank you for an amazing stay. We will be back!

I would recommend Hotel Riu for anyone who wants a fun relaxing weekend. I was there for my birthday 10-24 thru the 27th and I enjoyed every activity from the junkoo band to the karaoke night. There really is a lot to do even for the athletes 😊 well done

Nice hotel overall but staff friendliness is hit or miss. There was great customer service and bad throughout our stay. Good food and great drinks but that’s to be expected with all inclusive. Second time at RIU in Bahamas probably not my favorite RIU experiences but it’s mainly the customer service versus the resort itself. Also there day passes are not worth it if you have guest visit that are not staying at the resort. Pick alternative accommodation if you are expecting to have guest during your stay.

Staff were so rude. Our room had hair all over the bed and it took them one hour to give us a new room. The weather was the worst and we decided to come home early because of a hurricane and we were not able to get a refine.

Very difficult to get a reservation for the restaurant even though they were empty every night. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary in a restaurant and the front desk acted like he didn’t care when we told him.

Room was quite cool..19c, so we had to ask for blankets, as only a thin sheet provided. Would have appreciated a couple more pillows to choose from. Mattress was very good. Room was clean and well kept. Most staff were very friendly and accommodating, except for one bartender that seemed that customers were an imposition. Booking the reservation for the restaurants didn't seem to work well and not fully explained at arrival. Overall, nice trip, but not at the upper level we had expected from a Riu Palace. Ironically, it wasn't overly busy, so no excuse in that regard.
