A bit of history...
Known as "La Calmeleterie," this manor is a 19th-century “folie” built in the Troubadour style, later redesigned with touches by Gustave Eiffel himself, whose ironwork signature remains visible.
The house, originally an annex of the Château du Perreux, was built in 1892 for Valentin Albert Thomas, the artist son of a prominent Parisian bourgeois family. His father, a property developer, worked on Baron Haussmann’s reconstruction of Paris. That’s why, in the main living area, you’ll find an extraordinary Eiffel-style iron framework — which even includes the artist’s own palette.
The home was fully renovated and the interiors redesigned by the current owner, Ingrid, in 2002.
