To use the elevator , you had to ask or call the front desk to call the elevator for you and an employee had to run it. There was a light hanging off the wall in our room , stains on the light shades and what looked like a starfish shaped print on the chair . The morning we were leaving and we woke up the toilet wouldn’t flush. I have stayed in hotels at this price point before this was the worst I’ve been to .

They allowed a very late checkin given the terrible storms and traffic so responded quickly. They were available for broken elevator service. Didnt like that they did have 1 elevator for all, required a staff to bring us up and down. Since we were there 2-3am we didnt have to wait but because I had an elderly person, a 4 year old and pouring rain it wasnt the most convenient. Our room with pull out bed had no mattress or cushions, not the cleanest or nicest looking room. It was not a great room and all floor. We called and they got us a double queen 4 floors up so lots of traveling with bags and family to a better room. Breakfast was better but room smelled of wet dog sitting in the dining area.

One elevator in operation (fits 5 maybe) is manned by an operator and you must call the front desk to request an elevator to your floor to exit (10 minute wait 1st time). The rooms are dilapidated, many electrical outlets did not work, wifi was nonexistent (had to use personal phone as hot spot), bathroom amenities were a sample size bar of Dove soap with Dove shampoo and conditioner (trial size containers). Window darkening shade was torn and shoddy. Furniture was badly worn and very dated. Room void or carpeting, exposed breaker panel in wall.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The elevator had to be manually run by staff. So you had to call them to go downstairs. We had a really disgusting sofa in our room. My husband didn’t like the power box just sitting there on the nightstand. We had to switch lamps around because the one on the nightstand didn’t work. The switch was broken. Maybe they should check them when they clean the rooms. Our stay was okay. We were only there for a night.

This undoubtely the worst hotel I have stayed at in my life. I am 49 yrs old. So that says something. The hotel was dirty on walking in. Caution tape and paper covering windows. That I can look passed. But then the elevator was not functioning. I can look passed that but the operator said it has been down a while. Then we walked to our room wires hanging from the ceiling in hallway. Entered the room. Not a picture on the wall (not a big deal) . Shower curtain pole broken off wall. Tub mold filled and scum in it. Then sit down to watch TV. The Tv doesnt work. At 2:00am a loud party was heard next door. This as I said was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at for reasons mentioned above and for many more. I should have received a full refund on our stay. Very disappointed.

The property is not in good condition and the staff seemed undertrained or demoralized. Room furnishings were worn and dated. The one elevator could only be operated by staff, which was a major inconvenience. A sign at the elevator on each floor advised calling the front desk to get the elevator but did not display the front desk phone number. When I called the number Google gave me on the day I was checking out, the front desk did not answer. I had to descend by stairway to get the elevator to go back up and fetch my luggage left in the hall. The breakfast was generous and the room was serviced adequately. It is not a terrible location.

Ekevators weren't working, had to call front desk to send someone. Pool was closed and there was a lot of unfinished construction. My room had no microwave nor refrigerator and the TV was only analog or HDMI. There was one dim sconce by the door and the bedside table lamp didn't work. Corners and edges of room and bathroom had dirt/dust accumulation. Staff and other guests seemed sketchy, especially at late hours. Had to walk to nearby gas station to get a snack. There was loud partying, and the 5th floor smelled like week-old farts.

Staff were excellent. Neighbors were a bit noisy. Breakfast was good. Elevators were being repaired so staff had to accompany us to manually use the elevator. A little inconvenient but not horrible. Good price for a clean room.

Pros, location, clean room, friendly staff now for the cons, room I got was not big enough for 5 people, beds were full size had to get an air mattress. We had to call front desk every time we needed to use the elevator if we were on the second floor we would have taken the stairs but we were on the fourth floor. Only one laundry room and it’s on the second floor and it only had one washing machine which you had to pay 3.50 for 30 minutes and it had one dryer which was 3.50 for an hour I used them because I needed to not because I wanted too for that price I should have found a laundromat, also no mini fridge which I needed for my medication.Breakfast was ok not that we had any but we did look at what they had. On my next trip to New Haven sorry to say will not be staying here.

Hotel was adequate overall. Hotel and area around felt safe. Floors in the room were somewhat dirty, as well as bathrooms. For a hotel that has been refurbished lately, it was clear all changes were surface level (fresh paint & flooring, some new light fixtures). Some cracks in bathroom tiling and bathtub looked ancient. Staff were often not at front desk, and breakfast started later than stated.
