Getting Around:
Walking is the best way to get around in the downtown New Orleans area and when you get tired, rideshare (Uber/Lift/KrewCar) and taxis are generally readily available. Or hop on one of our famous streetcars to see two major routes throughout the city. The St. Charles Ave. streetcars are Green and head away from downtown on St. Charles Ave, into the Garden District, where you will see the beautifully maintained mansions, passing Loyola and Tulane Universities, Audubon Park, and the Audubon Zoo. Red Streetcars travel along Canal Blvd. from the Mississippi River out to City Park. The streetcars are cash only, unless you buy a pass.
The Hop on Hop off tour buses circulate around some of the more popular areas of downtown and offer pickup every 30 minutes.
The Algiers Ferry is a fun way to get across the river. It runs from Canal Street to Algiers throughout the day. Algiers is small and very walkable. Enjoy a quick bite to eat or just enjoy walking through the historic houses.

Bicycle rentals are also a great way to get around and can be rented from various locations throughout downtown. There are bike rental options like Blue Bike with multiple locations throughout the city and tour companies that have guided bike tours.

this place was so great! The location is perfect and it’s within walking distance to downtown, the French quarter, in the warehouse district. Inside of the property is also beautiful and the amenities were great. The host was also super responsive and had some really good suggestions that were helpful for us. I cannot recommend this place enough.

great place!

4 adults (2 couples) stayed in this rental and had plenty of space. 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms makes it ideal for couples traveling together. Clean and comfortable. great communication from host with recommendations. Easy check-in and check- out. The location is far enough out of the bar/crowd scene, but close enough to walk to French Quarter and other areas of interest. Easy walk to a grocery store, although we taxied back as it's a little long to carry anything of substance back. Nice breakfast diner type restaurant (Commerce) a few doors down, and a good restaurant at the hotel a block away (Laurel Oak at Magnolia Hotel), where we went several times for light apps and drinks. The space is as pictured, and I would recommend for anyone not wanting to stay near all the crowds of the French quarter. We walked everywhere (it's a very walkable city) and did not feel any safety concerns in this area.

Location was in a great spot close to bourbon but far enough away from it as well. The place was so nice and roomy def worth it for a group. We walked to bourbon and canal street everyday with no issues. Would recommend to everyone this is the place to stay.

Beautiful old building retrofit to have everything you need for a comfortable stay! We enjoyed the location because it was walkable to everything we wanted to see, and since it was a couple of blocks away from the Bourbon Street crowd, the nights were never too loud!

New Orleans Trip

Nice apartment, well maintained, clean. Had many amenities like plenty of towels and coffee and creamers and water and Gatorade. Well equipped kitchen (we didn’t cook anything). Both bedrooms were nice. The en-suite bedroom has a queen bed while the other has a king bed and bathroom right outside. I think they could have arranged it the other way, with the king as the master bedroom but it was fine for a couple of nights. The should improve the entryway into the building, would make a difference. Lastly, and many rentals are asking for this, the requirement to empty the trash and run the dishwasher, etc is really annoying. They have a separate charge just for cleaning, usually $150 for an apartment. Asking guests to empty trash, etc , is unacceptable. Otherwise, place is great. Would go back.

Comfortable and nicely Decorated

We spend 10 days here and it was great, close to walk everywhere but yet good exercise and not a crowed neighborhood , 2 Bedroom 2 bath plus washer and dryer, elevator so no stairs, great restaurants on same block, clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to family and friends.

The location and overall functionality of this place is awesome. Right in the middle of everything, two full baths and bedrooms. The three of us were very comfortable. Only reason not a five star Is the floors and bedspreads were not cleaned very well. We actually ran laundry on our first day to clean the bedding.

Convenient NOLA condo

We loved this property. It was so convenient for us, close to the French quarter but also close enough to walk to the garden district and other spots around town. It was clean, quiet and well maintained. Any issues/questions we had were promptly addressed. Potential renters should know there are no windows in the bedroom. We found ourselves sleeping in because it was so dark. 😁 I would definitely recommend this property. It was especially nice during the Mardi Gras parade season. We were only a couple blocks away from the big parades.
