The Big greasy

Yuck. Upon walking in to the reception area you would think this was going to be a nice place. Boy was i wrong! We had a king room. The room was absolutely filth! Shower was NOT clean. Hair and dirt from previous guests on walls of shower along with wet toilet paper in shower. Curtains were stained with God knows what! Floors were filthy!! Pillow cases were dirty as hell too. So nasty. Only thing positive I would say is this hotel is further away from the chaos and noise so it was quiet for the most part. Human feces and piss covered the streets outside hotel. True story. Never again.

Price was good. Elevators are terrifying in sound and ine drops a foot in a jerk once doors close, everyone was afraid of them. My door key stopped working every day in my 4 days there and had to be repgrammed each time. Otherwise all was good.

I understand hotel have different charges for different services what but these people are doing is pure exploitation at the time of holiday when tourist have nothing to find and are forced to pay these charges. If you have extra charges for parking and other stuff, they should at-least mention it on the ads & marketing that they spend so much money on. On top of that some staff was very rude. Never visiting again.

This was our 1st time staying here. We came for our anniversary and it was the worse night. We got no sleep due to mostly sitting outside almost all night due to the ac not working in our room which made it super hot. Not to mention every time you use the bathroom the toilet would put water on the back of your leg and that we had to keep a towel on the floor due to the toilet leaking on the floor nonstop. Tv would go in and out.

No one said that we had to pay for parking. On site restaurant closed on days we were there” they are our slow days”. Ac made awful racquet even after “ service” . Numerous requests for tub stopper went unanswered.

The staff all around are wonderful. Walking distance from everything in the quarter. Hotel was clean. Hotel is old, elevator was a little squeaky but I feel that it adds character. Hot water pressure in shower was excellent. Our bed was comfortable but it does need updating. Hotel is in a quiet residential area. If you love a hotel with character and a friendly staff and don’t mind walking… this is for you. Pricing was fair during Mardi Gras. I would recommend and return.

Staff was super nice… Just an older building lots of things in our room were broken or missing such as: safety lock on door was broken and couldn’t be used, missing fixtures over lights, shower drain was broken, tiny refrigerator that never got cold, several holes in the walls around plug-ins, etc…
