Too much to pay for no water.

I was handed a piece of paper when I checked in stating that the property would not have any water between 10 pm and 5 a.m. Water did actually return until after 7:00 a.m. the next day. Stayed three nights only received towel service once.

Decent Manhattan Hotel

Excellent location. Reception staff the very best! Helpful. Breakfast decent. Hot drinks available throughout the day if required. Be better if available all the time though! I would book again if visiting New York again.

Great location but service is horrendous

Staff are extremely rude. For a country that supposedly relies on tips, you’d think the service would be impeccable. Unfortunately not. Checking in was difficult, the lady struggled to converse. Checking out was worse, the chap extremely rude, no receipt given.

Great hotel!

We will definitely stay here again! Staff was helpful and friendly. The room was super spacious which was a shock. We had no trouble with the elevator at all, never had to wait long to go up or down. Didn’t hear any noise from other guests in our room, and the outside noise wasn’t bad compared to what I’m used to with NYC hotels. The location is perfect for us, love being near the subway (yellow/orange line right outside the door basically) and love being in Koreatown area, such great food. This will probably be our go to hotel from now on. We didn’t try the free breakfast or coffee so can’t review that. Very comfy beds also! My only suggestion would be to add some live TV channels, there was no ABC, NBC etc.

I really like this little hotel, tucked in the heart of Korea Town and minutes from the bustle of Herald Square. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is super friendly and courteous. There's a breakfast room/lounge that feels like a cozy library and is a nice place to hang out if you're waiting for your room to be available or awaiting your trip back home. There can be a long wait for the one elevator if you're on a higher floor, so add a few minutes if you're on a schedule. This was my second stay here, and I would happily return to it again.

Good--Was upgraded to a suite when the requested room was not available. Staff was friendly. Location is good. Bad--The suite was laid out poorly. There was a "living" area consisting of a dresser and a sofa and coffee table. The sofa was nasty and uncomfortable. The only television was in the living area and thus could not see from the beds. The beds were reasonably comfortable, but there was only one small reading lamp for two beds. So poor for reading. The bathroom was strangely laid out. The toilet paper holder was beyond the reach of the toilet! There was no full-length mirror in the suite. There was only one plastic cup provided in the room, although we were able to get additional cups and water downstairs. The worst thing was that there was no running water our last night at the hotel. No one should have this happen to them. Nerve--racking to worry about toilet issues. Water was not restored until about 7:30 the following morning. There is a complimentary breakfast, but the breakfast room was cramped and unpleasant. We chose not to eat there.

Pleasant staff, doorman!, great location close to MSG & Times Square. Subway stop very close by. Our room was very comfortable. The included breakfast was adequate. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. We will definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at Hotel Stanford in New York City and overall had a good experience. The hotel is decent for the area — it’s in a great, central location close to a lot of attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. The lobby makes a strong first impression with its modern look and feel — it’s clean, stylish, and welcoming. However, once you leave the lobby, the rest of the hotel definitely shows its age. The hallways and rooms feel a little ancient, with older furnishings and decor that could use some updating. That said, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Manhattan with a convenient location and don’t mind a bit of old-school charm, Hotel Stanford is a solid choice.
