Nova Hotel is in a great spot, so close to the subway. Very decent, affordable rates. Newly renovated, so the rooms are pretty cool looking. Ours had a giant glass sliding door leading to huge deck (but it was too cold outside to enjoy it). The hotel was clean with decent basic amenities. Front desk staff was sweet (thank you, Sam), and the custodial staff we encountered was also friendly. Definitely will stay here again!

Clean room, good shower and bed. Sam at the front desk was great. This place is good value for the money. it is located across the street from an industrial site, so there can be noise. It's well-located near food/coffee/bars in Bushwick and East Williamsburg. Not super fancy, but totally fine.

My experience is consistent with other negative reviews I am reading. I’ve never had a Loft room in a basement - that’s a first. But having a hotel room that’s labeled as a fancy “loft” being in the basement was not the worst part of the stay. The cigarette smell inside the hotel, the barking dog at night in an adjacent room, and the extreme smell of cheap room deodorizer made this stay very unpleasant. It smelled so badly that it gave me a headache - that’s a first, too. They are trying hard to be a nice hotel, but seem to fall short at so many ends. I will not return.
