The hotel is lovely! An easy walk from the train at Penn Station. The room is great, with a separate seating area with a couch. Our only disappointments were that it felt slightly understaffed for a busy Saturday night check in keeping the wait longer than comfortable and that the restaurant/bar was already closed at 10:30 pm. The comfortable, clean, convenient room is just what we needed.

Perfect location

The location was perfect, very conveniently located, walking distance to Rockerfeller, Central Park, Times Square, and midtown. Transit links on the doorstep to get elsewhere in the city. Staff were very helpful and polite. Things like kettles were only provided when we asked for them, but we were delivered to our room when we asked. Room was larger than expected which was a nice surprise for central New York. I would absolutely stay again. BE AWARE you will be charged a $500 deposit on arrival which I was not aware of when I arrived. This was not charged to me in the end as I left the room clean and tidy, but just something to be aware of so you don’t get the same shock I did!

A lovely hotel. Steps from subway. Dining and shopping everywhere. Room was very comfortable. We appreciated the welcome gift. Bathroom was clean; looked like it had recently been retiled. Could have used soap at the sink instead of reaching to the shower for soap to wash your hands. Biggest issue was a lack of hot water. We addressed this at the front desk and received compensation.

The lady who checked us in was rude with her tone while explaining the Destination fee. We loved the location of the hotel in relation to Broadway, Central Park, and dining options. The rooms were clean, but need to be updated or maintained better. There was wallpaper that was peeling, molding that had pulled apart from the wall, and stain marks on the walls and ceiling.

Family trip

Hotel was clean and roomy for two. I loved the bench seat. There was definite signs that the hotel was aged. The mattresses were very comfy. We had issues with the front desk staff when we checked in, they were somewhat rude and uncaring. We were close to a great diner and a Starbucks to pluses. Close to Carnegie hall and Central Park.
