This place is always hopping, day or night the lobby is always full. The construction work happening immediately inside the front doors makes things even more crowded. The hotel has one, that I found, water bottle filler, and it does not work. Google maps incorrectly shows a 5 minute walk to the hotel from the 1 train as only the front doors are accessible, the others are blocked off. So it is more like a 10 minute walk. We were told that a $35 credit per day would be combined and could be used as $70 on day 2 of our 2 night stay. We weren't told that we would have to ask for that and even AFTER asking, we were still only given the $35 credit. But, the room was nice and fairly quiet. View was decent from the 36th floor. Staff was nice and accommodating.

The location was great and the desk staff was good. The lobby is under renovation so the 7th Ave exits are closed- actually a little unnerving. The elevators are very slow but there is a security system that seems to work so it is a trade-off of convenience and speed for safety. Even leaving a floor there was a lengthy wait for an elevator. The rooms are clean and some items, such as the bedside plugs, are showing wear and didn’t see to work.

Had an excellent stay!

We really enjoyed this hotel. The location is perfect for tourists. The elevator system is effecient after you learn how to use it (there are kiosks near them to select the floor you want). The lobby is under construction, but we had read that before coming and were not caught by surprise. Baggage hold company was quick and efficient if you need them to watch you bags before or after check out ($6 per bag). Doorman was great at giving us tip of how to best execute our plans and getting us a cab when needed. The room cleaning was also great. Best we could remeber since Covid for sure. We were given a credit for each night for their lounge area which is a baby starbucks during the day and bar by night. But this was great to get drinks and snacks in the morning before heading out for site seeing. We will definitely stay here again.

The bathrooms could use an update and they have hidden fees that they charge each day called a destination fee, but all in all it’s a decent hotel that’s located close to Times Square.

Great location, beautiful hotel

We've stayed here twice and really like the location- close to Times Square, Central Park, the Moma, and Rockefeller Center. The lobby was under construction this stay, which was a little chaotic, but I'm looking forward to the final results because it was already a really nice lobby. If you can, request to stay on floors 21-28- they have their own hallway of elevators in the lobby that are a lot less crowded than the main elevators, which can take 20 minutes if a large group just checked in. The elevator situation was my only complaint on my last stay- I ended up taking my luggage down 9 floors of stairs because the elevator was taking over 15 minutes. My daughter walked to floor 18 on this trip for the same reason. But being on floors 21-28 with their own elevators helped a lot.

Excellent location. A few blocks away from both Central Park and Times Square. Public transportation is ample and convenient. Very walkable area. We were blown away by the MOMA and there are so many splendid restaurants nearby.

There was a string of long hair on the shower wall (which does not belong to any of us since we all have short hair) since the day we came and it has been there since the day we left

Main entrance was under renovation. Starbucks was temporarily available in the Library restaurant. Minimal staff looking after the food and drink so could be very slow if you got there at the wrong time. Library restaurant was expensive so would recommend checking out the local eateries. If you are fortunate enough to get a food and beverage credit that really helps. I was given $35 a day. Room had the necessities. Would have liked body wash but soap bars work. Not sure that the bath was cleaned during my stay even though the rest of the bathroom was cleaned. Plenty of towels. Bed was quite high but comfortable. Times Square and Broadway shows are a short walk away. Hop on/Hop Off buses are also close by and provide a great start to sightseeing. Central Park is within walking distance. Not the cheapest hotel but it does have packages and is in a good spot for access to many tourist attractions.

The hotel room was a bit outdated. Our blinds didn’t work and had to get them fixed. The light bulbs were very bright for the lamps and every time we turned light on it was super bright in room. We were happy with the service and location but for the amount of money spent, I felt the quality could have been better.
