The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to Grand Central, Bryant Park and The Chrysler Building. The staff were in the main very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice, with excellent bathrooms. There is free coffee in the dining room downstairs in the mornings, and you can buy a pastry for $3. The only downside is the $50/night deposit. On Expedia, it is advertised at $100/stay. As we stayed 6 nights, we were charged $300 each, which is a bit of a hit if you have saved up and are on a budget. This has since been refunded. As long as you know this, and budget for it, the hotel is very good and reasonably priced. Would stay here again.

The Renwick is the Place to Stay

Very accommodating. Held our luggage until our room was ready and let us exceed that time and go out on the town. Clean, comfortable, warm. Staff is very friendly. We needed more pillows and they brought them within minutes. Vintage yet contemporary. A great wink at the city! Great location. So close to transportation. We felt safe, secure and taken care of. Definitely will stay again, if I get to return.

It’s our second time at the Renwick and we found the following to be a little disappointing: no ice except on the 17th floor and the ice maker had clearly not been used or cleaned in ages. We were also surprised that the tvs were locked such that no streaming was allowed. Lastly, and of minor significance but I asked in advance about an in room hairdryer and was told each room had a DryBar hairdryer. Indeed the room had a DryBar bag but inside was a very cheap and overheating hairdryer.

Charming boutique hotel 2 blocks from GCT. Great bar entertainer in the evening. Only issue is the locale of the hotel is in the middle of a food desert. You need to search a bit for a restaurant .

Great room and location

This is a great small boutique style hotel in a building with a vibrant history. The room was just the right size for me. The location is amazing because of its proximity to grand central and Times Square it’s easy to get anywhere in the city.

The staff were wonderful at The Renwick and the room was very clean. Unfortunately, the mattress and bedding were very poor quality. I wouldn’t stay here again unless there was an upgrade. It is a very convenient location and they play excellent music in the lobby!!

Very funky, artsy property. Liked the aesthetic. The electric outlet by the bathroom mirror was inoperable and a coat hook fell off the wall. I could literally hear every word spoken by the guests on the other side of the wall. Luckily they were quiet when I was sleeping.
