I had to pay for parking in a hotel parking lot. In my 42 years of travel, both domestic and international, I have never had to pay for parking. I find this really ridiculous given there was a fairly large amount of parking. Also I had to give a $100.00 deposit for "incidentals" which wont be returned to me for 3-5 days due to a debit. I tried to pay this in cash so they could return right away only to be told they dont accept cash for "incidentals" deposits. I've stayed at many Comfort Inns & these 2 issues have never come up before. I am fairly disturbed by this stay given it wasn't even the best Comfort Inn (location & overall environment) I've ever stayed at.

Just be ready to get hit with a $100 security fee and be charged $11 for parking . Ive stayed here before and the parking was free. If they are gonna charger for parking might as well stay at the big chains on route 1 and 9

Poor amenities, run-down hotel

Forced to stay in Newark due to a plane delay, but this one was the wrong choice. Very old, run-down hotel. I never had wifi: they said they often have problems and simply make customers call their customer service. The first time I tried, no answer for 10-15 minutes. The next morning I got through but I couldn't hear the technician, who might have manually added me. How can you not have a viable wifi system? In addition, around midnight, room-shaking music woke us up, apparently from a car outside? I had to call downstairs to ask them to do something. Made it clear that this was not a good area in which to stay. Breakfast was mediocre but could have been worse.
