Nice, large room. Just wish second bedroom had air conditioner. Hotel already had a room fan, so assume others had complained before us. Great to have two sinks!

Great motorcycle stop!!

This is a very nice place to stay and explore the U.P. You can go visit many of the great sights from this location, and still get back to the hotel before it gets too dark. They even have motorcycle cleaning towels by the front door!! We plan to return another time and do more exploring!!

Terrible place. Stay in Mackinaw city or Munising

I have experience of many Comfort Inn and this one is the worst which cannot match the brand of "Comfort Inn". They offered me a non-smoking room. However, it smelled like cigar or weed and I was not sure. Since it was very cold outside at night, I had to stay the whole night with the smoke, barely went to sleep. In Newberry, there is not much choice for you to find a decent place. So my conclusion is that you'd better to stay in Mackinaw city or Munising if your aim is to take a tour at Pictured Rock from southern Michigan.

it is not cheap at all for such level of hotel, but Newberry is so tiny and you do not have enough choice. The room is clean and the breakfast is ok.

Very good, basic accommodations.

We needed a place to stay for a night on a road trip and this Comfort Inn was just what we needed. It is located next to a Pizza Hut, a gas station and a bar/diner. The room was clean and plenty of space. Pretty good cable channel selection. Nice to have a jacuzzi but would be better to have a pool for the kids.

Unable to find the location by GPS or Google Map

Unable to find the hotel location by GPS or Google Map; actually these electronic devices led me to a location where there is nothing on roadside, but information showed the hotel, and the neighboring MaDonald's, BP gas station, etc.

Stay Away

The only reason we stayed at a Comfort Inn was because everything else was gone during the Labor Day Weekend. The room smelled, the bathroom was in a bad condition. It was a disabled accessible room. Also stay away from the breakfast buffet. We styed for 2 nights and i had breakfast only on the second day. i got sick that day :(

Weekend north

Went there for a weekend getaway north without the kids. Pleasant enough hotel, clean and bed was relatively comfortable. Walls were extremely thin, and noise could be heard throughout the halls and upstairs. Thankfully, it stayed pretty quiet, and wasn't an issue. The hot tub and sauna were clean and well cared for. Decent location in the middle of several outdoor attractions within an hour drive.

Not a great hotel but it served its purpose. Had a huge jacuzzi that was hot but not enough jets. Not as great as the other Comfort INns we've stayed in.

Covered the basics

Check in time according to online said 2pm, arrived shortly after 4 and the room was barely ready, walked in with all my stuff in hand while housekeeping was still cleaning, kinda ackward. TV remote didn't work, but all i really needed was a nice hot shower and a bed to sleep in.
