We loved the charm of the property. The onsite restaurant was exceptional. Our Sunday dinner of pork, lamb, yorkshire pudding, potatoes and gravy were amazing. The chef works magic!

The Hare and Hounds at Speen, Newbury

Enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay at The Hare and Hounds. Our room was The Fox, the room and furnishings were superb. The bar and restaurant are in the main building. Speen is an area just outside Newbury, with easy access to the town if required. Ample free car parking provided. Recommended as we found it to be of a very high standard.

Lovely place. Staff super friendly and hard working. It was an overnight stay as we were dining nearby. Room was a bit too warm and, even though we had a fan, it didn’t do much to keep us cool. Not much you can do about a heatwave though. Breakfast was lovely.
