The reception is in the lounge area which was extremely busy and very difficult to have a conversation on check in
Nice room, comfortable and everything you need
Fantastic location our room had a bridge view. The hotel is located at the top of a hill but once you’ve checked in there’s another entrance at the bottom of the hill that can be used it saved our legs. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is delicious I would definitely stay there again
We stayed here for one night and had a great time. The hotel was in a great location and we really appreciated the fact that the lift went down to the quayside as we had a pram with us so the steps would’ve been very difficult. The hotel was beautiful and we managed to park in the car park which was very convenient. The concierge was very helpful and staff were all very friendly. Our quayside view was also great! The only issue we had was that the room was very hot as the window only opened a couple of inches and there was no fan. Aside from that it was perfect.
Room was average, noise was so loud. Even after finally getting to sleep due to music there was some sort of unit which revved up at 5am which was loud. Also no air con in room which made it unbearable
We loved the aesthetic of the hotel, how friendly the staff were, the view from the room, the breakfast buffet, the location. The only thing that let it down was no mention that the room was next to a railway line (fine if you had earplugs like me!) and the bed was very bouncy - if youre in a double bed and either of you moves, youll know about it!
The location is fantastic, firstly. The apartment was a good size, and was pretty clean. The bed was comfy, however there was a small blood stain on the duvet. There was also no cold water from the taps, and the ice machine wasn’t working, so we had to buy bottled water to keep in the fridge. The air vents were rather noisy, I could still hear them while wearing ear plugs. The staff seemed friendly.
Great location and within walking distance of the town centre. Great roof top bar. A little tired looking hotel so could do with a little spruce up. Depending on your room you will hear the trains from VERY early!
Had a comfortable stay at the Vermont. Check in was chaotic with long waits, possibly due to the gig at St James. Room was nice and bed comfortable. Shower was awkward to use and water pressure not great. Bathroom could do with refurbishment but overall happy for what he had paid.
Arrived at hotel at 1pm to dump bags until check in. Was shown where to park and told to come back at 3pm for check in. At 3:30pm we returned to stand in a queue for 30 mins to check in. To then be told our room wasn’t ready. And they didn’t have a time frame. I asked if there was any where to get ready as we were going to a concert. We were given keys to the fitness centre which was basically just a toilet to get ready in which I refused. Our room was not ready till 1hr and 30 mins after check in time which I think is really poor for a high quality hotel such as this to be just told we’ve been busy!
The room was clean but outdated and bed wasn’t very comfy and springy.
Really helpful staff, clean and tidy apartment, close to amenities, bars, restaurants, and the river. Has a really restful stay at the end of a traumatic week.
