This place was terrible. The bed had human dents in it and was not actually a king mattress but two singles put together. Not to mention it was older than myself I'd wager. The sheets and pillow cases were dirty and we asked that they were changed. That took nearly two hours. There was no hot tub as was advertised which may seem trivial, but after two weeks of hiking Scotland were looking forward to soaking in a hot tub as was advertised. The hotel is dated, and I mean dated. It felt like it may have been 4 stars in the 1970s, but this was no 4 star hotel. The only redeeming quality of the stay was the front desk staff who were incredibly kind and did everything they could to make a horrible experience not so bad. We booked two nights and cancelled the second after hurting my back trying to sleep in the destroyed mattress. Unfortunately all I saw the staff doing was apologizing for the experience of the hotel. Overall, Don't stay here. You can find far better for less money.

Down Grade not an upgrade

I arrived at 16.30 to be given a twin room when I had paid for a Double. I was told house keeping would change this to a double so I said I would go for something to eat while this is done. On my return this still hadn't been done. The receptionist said she would ask house keeping to do it straight away. At 19.30 I asked again how much longer, only to be told this couldn't be changed to a double. I was then offered another double which could have been done at 16.30 when I checked in not 3 hours later. Very poor.

The property is very dated actually and the room was not particularly appealing, albeit the mattress was comfortable, the whole place just looking a bit rundown and in need of some TLC especially around the tennis courts and the carpark / delivery area. The service in the restaurant was absolutely woeful; I don't think I've ever experienced worse table service anywhere. Just inexperience I guess and no leadership whatsoever. Disappointed with our stay.

What a fantastic place! The staff could not have been more kind and helpful! We arrived late back to the hotel after sightseeing only to find that the restaurant had already closed. They happily fixed us up a couple of sandwich plates. All the food we had here was exceptional. The pool and saunas were very nice and clean. A great treat after a long travel day.

The staff make the hotel

The staff here are incredible and an asset to the hotel. Given the relative youth of said staff, the level of professionalism, warmth and attention to detail is exceptional.

Wonderful family break with Spa

It was great stay. Room was clean and very spacious. Had two seperate beds for the kids and main bed was king size. Parking has EV charger so great great bonus. Included spa access was cherry on top.

Service could have been better.

Check in was smooth, the girl at the front desk was sweet. All information provided said to call to the front desk if you needed anything, but there was no phone in the room so this makes it impossible for overseas travellers who don’t have roaming to request anything from the front desk without having to walk there and ask in person. All pillows in every room were feather, which I am allergic to. I didn’t think to request no feather pillows, as I have never encountered this scenario before. I went down to the front desk to inquire whether they had any non feather pillows. The gentleman working told me he would find some and bring them up for me. In the meantime, we set the pillows from our room out into the hallway. The pillows sat there in the hallway until after 10am the next morning (this is when we left for the day). We had no pillows for our first nights sleep. Not the end of the world, I know, but not the greatest service or comfort for your customers either. When we returned around 6 in the evening, the pillows in the hallway were gone, and finally there were non feather pillows in our room. Nearly a day, we had to wait on the non feather pillows. If we’d not been staying more than one night, I’d have never seen them at all. The pool and spa area, as well as the restaurant and bar area were all very nice. Water available (still or sparkling) by the tap on all floors. For ice you had to go to the bar. Mold in our tub/shower. No fridge in room. Housekeeping not great.
