Stayed in Woodside Cottage £220 for the night, swimming pool and thermal facilities timed with allocated slots, bit like during COVID.This facility is at a cost of £20 per person despite having paid for our accomodation I think Killeavey Castle is punching above its weight,it's a drab grey and green on the outside and ultra modern and minimalist internally,this might have worked if "castle" had been dropped from the title.Not a single open fire or panelled wall. We just had lunch,chowder was delicious but duck wings were grey and tasteless. Staff were just about pleasant - not quite sure if they were happy to be there or not.

I liked the grounds of the property and the walks. Dinner was excellent and service very good but breakfast was lacking between quality and service however I feel in some way that it was miss sold by Expedia as the pictures don't really show the external plain looking structure that you arrive up to and stay in they show a lovely looking castle which sold it to me. So first impression from car park wasn't great no picture on the site off this first view of the property. The interior finish on this hotel in general is very simple I stayed in the superior guest room and found the room ok, the Bathroom compared to other 4star holels was lacking and very cheaply finished. To sum it up just no wow factor from entering the hotel to leaving it.

Lovely countryside hotel

Lovely hotel with great views. The room was large, bed large and very comfy, and bathroom large and well equipped. We didn't get a chance to go to the spa but had a pleasant walk around the grounds which are well sign-posted.

Loved modern hotel.

We stayed here as part of a wedding party. The location is stunning, the drive up to the hotel is very picturesque. Our room was excellent with two Juliet balconies facing in different directions. The decor and fittings were like new and very modern. A good sized bathroom and plenty of hanging space for our clothes.

Amazing stay in a gorgeous hotel with stunning surroundings! Staff could not have been more helpful and went the extra mile at every opportunity. Great gluten free options for those who require it also. Will 100% be back!
