Felt very safe (one big reason we chose this guest house), free on-site parking not on the street, residential area that was really quiet - practically no street noise. This is the first floor of a house and the second floor is also a rental. The outer door to the house is common to both units and then the two floors have separate locked entrances inside. The floor in the hallway by the bedrooms and full bath was creaky (consistent with the era of the house) which seemed even louder because the neighborhood was so quiet. Luckily we didn't overlap much with the people renting the upper floor and they weren't noisy. We did hear the cleaners when they came - occasional yelling and a little bit of floor creaking. FYI There weren't laundry facilities for us to use. Common areas were nice sized, bedrooms were smaller but consistent with this era of house and queen beds were pushed up against a wall to give more space. The fridge and freezer was a smaller unit (not dorm size and not full size) but easily adequate for the amount of food storage we needed. I sent questions periodically to the owner before and during renting and responses were returned in a reasonable amount of time. We had trouble opening the rental unit's door, called the owner, he answered right away, and instructed us on the knack of unlocking the door. There was a backyard area to relax in but we didn't use it. It took 15 minutes to walk to the aquarium via the gorge view park paths. The paths are wide and paved.
