A charming apartment in a beautiful village

We have just spent a wonderful week in House Les Lavendieres, mainly to visit the Monaco Grand Prix, but also an extra couple of days to explore the French Riviera.Be prepared for steps, both up and down, to the apartment and throughout the village, but this all contributes to the magnificent views you get from the balcony. There is everything you need inside the apartment, and then some. It’s in a great location within the village for bars and restaurants and also the train station, which we visited daily on our travels.Uber will drop you and collect you to and fro the airport, to the main square and it’s just a 3-4 minute walk from there, with your cases.Supermarket is in the village (closed Wednesdays) but a slightly larger one about a 15 minute walk just outside of old town. Boulangerie a 3 minute walk and a definite must!

Stay in Villefranche-sur-Mer

We had an incredible stay in this stunning apartment in Villefranche-sur-Mer. The view from the patio was amazing, perfect for breakfast/lunch or a glass of wine before heading out for the evening. The apartment was clean and is decorated nicely making it feel both special and homey.Everything we needed was provided, making for a convenient and stress-free stay. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Villefranche, with charming cafés, restaurants, and the train station just a short walk away. It was the perfect base for exploring nearby towns along the Riviera.The hosts were incredibly responsive and welcoming, adding a personal touch that made us feel right at home. We completely fell in love with Villefranche-sur-Mer and can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommend this gem of a place!

Magnificent view, fantastic location

We had a brilliant stay at Marie-Joelle’s place. It has the most magnificent view and was right in the old town, close to loads of restaurants and small shops. There is a small supermarket nearby and a bigger Casino supermarket less than 10mins walk away. We went every morning to the boulangerie only 5 mins walk away. The beautiful beach was also 10 mins walk the other way and we went every day to swim and snorkel. The host was exceptionally responsive and accommodating to our every need - thank you so much! We wouldn’t hesitate to return. Be warned that there are A LOT of steps to climb in this area, which was fine for us, but you might struggle if mobility is an issue. Also, the 3rd bed is quite high up and accessed by ladders, which my 11year old loved, but an older adult would probably struggle with. The bus and train are also very easily accessed from this apartment, which we also used everyday. All in all, a fabulous stay and we can’t wait to return!

Fantastic apartment

We absolutely loved our 7 night stay in this apartment in the quaint village of Villefranche-Sur-Mer. The flat is spacious and well-stocked with everything you might need. It is also in an excellent location with grocery shops and restaurants located within steps. Our favorite feature of the apartment was the balcony with amazing views of the port below. We loved watching the sunsets and the sunrises from our perch above the village. We hope to return some day!

Côtes d’Azur Brilliance

This is an astounding historic apartment in Villefranche-Sur-Mer’s old town, complete with a deck looking out to the harbor. The owner is a talented decorator, and the overall setting and ambiance are so charming and quintessentially French. The apartment is up a flight of stairs, and the old town itself is on a steep hill, so make sure you pack lightly and are in shape. That said, this is the ultimate spot to stay with the flavor of the traditional Riviera.

Lovely stay, Excellent location

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay. The apartment is cute and cozy and offers an amazing view. We felt like locals during our stay and the host made us feel welcomed and checked in throughout our stay. The area is safe and very quiet and within walking distance to bars, restaurants, the beach and the train and bus.

Gem of a place along the coast

Such a lovely Stay!

We loved our stay! Daniel was amazing at check in, even help carry in our luggage! told us where to eat, park and anything we asked. The place was pretty clean, the only suggestion was to maybe do a deep clean of the kitchen cupboards but eveything else was great. Ample towels and an incredible view from the balcony. We loved it.

We had a great stay, location in the old town is perfect for restaurants, the beach and the trainline, the flat is well lit with a nice balcony over looking the Villefranche harbour. It has a well equipped kitchen and any issues were dealt with quickly by the owner. We will be back.

Charming apartment in the Old Town

This apartment is on a quiet side street in the old town of Villefranche sur mer. It is on the second floor and older in style, but is also one of the best equipped places we've stayed, including a dishwasher and washing machine that is uncommon in such places. It is close to train and bus services, but not appropriate for those who have trouble with stairs, as the whole town is on a steep slope. The crowning asset of the place is the balcony overlooking the gorgeous harbour. There are many small restaurants with excellent cuisine in the neighbourhood and one small grocery store. The owner is very helpful but most comfortable in French, so use Google translate in your messages. Our stay was memorable, comfortable and relaxing. We'd definitely return.

Living the Dream

Our stay here in VFSM was magical. We loved being in the old town, which was scenic and very quiet. The view from the flat is fabulous, and on the balcony we enjoyed morning coffee and evening wine. Marie-Joelle’s taste in design is sophisticated yet homey with a touch of whimsy, and she is an excellent hostess. We’ll be back!

We had absolutely the best time staying at this lovely apartment. It has everyone one would ever need for a 'home away from home' and a gorgeous view of the bay. The apartment was exactly as presented with the balcony is the highlight bringing amazing views of the bay. Villefranche sur Mer is wonderful. Great communication with the owner who accommodated our very late arrival. Nice touches in the apartment too e.g. sun umbrella, beach chairs, bathroom and kitchen amenities. Really great.

Lovely View of the Bay

The apartment is as quaint and lovely as Villefranche itself. We enjoyed the balcony for our morning coffee and fresh croissants and in the evening for a glass of wine before going out to dinner. It was always a pleasure to come back to the apartment after long hikes and visiting the hill-top villages of La Turbie, Roquebrune, Tende, etc. The apartment was very well equipped and very comfortable for us. We kept all the windows and french doors open which always gave us a cross breeze even in the warm days of June. This apartment is in a great location for the Old Town, train station and many wonderful restaurants and we highly recommend it. Also there are many nice walking trails nearby and we especially recommend the "Train des Mervais" which you can get info from the Tourist Office at the upper level where the Saturday/Wednesday outddoor market is held. We enjoyed our stay in this apartment and highly recommend it.

Great spot

This flat is ideal for those who want quick access to old town Villefrance, the Gare (train) and to the beach/restaurants. It's a quiet location with an excellent veranda view (especially at sunrise - so get up early). House was very stocked with necessities.

Great place to stay

Villefranche is one of our favourite places to stay and this location is fantastic - in the old town and close to everything but still quiet. You do need to be able to do stairs! The apartment has a lot of character with weathered, old world style yet with a modern bathroom. It's an eclectic mix inside with an amazing view of the bay. A bit of investment in a new mattress, sofas, and patio chairs would make it a 5 star stay. Highly recommend.
