We spent one night at Circulo while in town for the. Charleston Open tennis tournament. The hotel is a small boutique type hotel with only 16 rooms but our room was large and nicely appointed. The shower was very also very nice. There are 4 paid parking spaces under the hotel, and about 10 other paid parking spaces directly across from the hotel. Although there is no staff at the hotel, I had great inaction with them before our arrival and they were extremely responsive. I would highly recommend this hotel if you stay in North Charleston.

This hotel is perfect for those who want a quiet location and a large modern space. There is no hotel lobby or in person check-in, but the online system works really well and there are staff both near by and a text away. The team is very kind and helpful. I thought it was a nice location, mostly a residential area, and it was easy to drive into town. There are very few amenities at the hotel. I think the only thing missing that I would have liked is a microwave or a way to heat up water. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff were extremely responsive when we had issues at check in. Security of the property is excellent. Very clean. No front desk, but staff was very helpful. North Charleston is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and there is a very nice downtown area just a couple of blocks away with a bunch of dining selections. Overall a good experience and a good price.

Hotel Circulo is truly one of the most visually stunning hotels I have ever stayed in. It is clear that an incredible amount of thought and attention to detail went into the design. The aesthetic combines elements of pop art with what felt like subtle inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright–style architecture. The hotel was impeccably clean, smelled fresh, and the quality of the furnishings and décor did not go unnoticed. I was genuinely impressed. The photos and reviews alone convinced me to book a night for my daughter and me while we were in town for a cheer competition. While the hotel itself is fantastic, the surrounding area did not feel as safe as I had hoped. I was unaware that the room doors face outward toward the street and sidewalk. We were given a corner room on the third floor that was clearly visible from below. Shortly after checking in around 6 p.m., we decided to go out and find something to eat. As we were leaving our room, a man walking on the sidewalk below made eye contact with my 12-year-old daughter standing outside the door. He began shouting up to us, saying, “Hey! Yo! Stop! Don’t come down just yet! It isn’t safe down here.” This was followed by unusual laughing which made it unsettling. My daughter was immediately frightened and started crying. Although I knew we were relatively secure since the elevator required an access code, the interaction made me hesitant to go downstairs, worried the man might be waiting for us. The room was very nice…BUT…there was NO staff and NO amenities. There is an ice bucket and two empty bottles, and a refrigerator. No coffee, microwave, or anything else resembling an amenity. You receive a six digit code to use for the ice/water room, the elevator, and your room. And parking was an extra $20/day. I guess it’s fine if you’re into this kinda thing, but my expectations were higher.

We will definitely be staying at this property again for future Park Circle and Firefly concert nights! Both Bethany and Julia made the check in and check out process super easy. The hotel rooms are a great size, all nice amenities and higher end finishes. Definitely a hidden gem we’d recommend to all our friends.

We were impressed with this place. One negative is the room door. It does not latch well due to the type of locking system. The door does sound a few beeps several minutes after closing if not fully engaged. But there is no additional locking mechanism on inside to make sure door cannot be kicked open from outside like most hotel rooms have. I would suggest this be added. Otherwise we would recommend this place and would consider it again in the future.
