Disliked: Cleanliness
The host was very responsive. She also allowed us to check in 2 hours earlier than advertised which we really appreciated. When we got to the property, it was very dirty and had a strong scent of mothballs throughout the entire house. The floors looked like they had not been swept, and the couches were covered in crumbs. We also moved the area rug in the living area as it had a lot of sandspurs that were imbedded into it that were painful to step on. When we moved the rug, it looked like it had not been swept under in months. We were only staying two nights, so this wasnt the end of the world for us, but I didnt expect to clean the entire property upon arrival. We also were not able to utilize the entire bottom floor, due to there not being heat down there so we were down a bedroom. It was below freezing temps the weekend we were there so that area was entirely too cold to be in. The house itself is very outdated. There were electrical wires hanging from the ceiling in the living area. Blue painters tape was attempting to hold curtains shut and secure runners to the floor which did not work. I would have liked the property to be cleaner for the price paid, especially in the off season.
