The hotel is extremely run down. Rooms bathrooms and hallways are living proof of that. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired for. Even after asking no milk or cream cheese. Cleaning service comes and does not clean. For get about vacuuming they don’t even collect the trash.

Staff was amazing. Historical element of property was excellent. Minor suggestion to consider carpet upgrade in room. Especially enjoyed the onsite breakfast.

Staff was great! Shared the story of the hotel’s haunting when I checked in. The property is in a run-down downtown area but that wasn’t an issue for me. Loved the history and vintage character of the property.

Stayed one night and had a lovely stay. It was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and clean and there’s a parking lot across the building with free parking. So there’s no additional fees. 10/10.

Not for me

The hotel staff are really nice and the physical location is both the best and worst. Best because everything is super close and walking distance. Even free parking. Worst because there is a loading/unloading station right next door and a train station. So the room I stayed in was extremely noisy. Both during the day and at night. Please bring ear buds to pop your ears if you expect to sleep at all. During the day I had teams calls that were impossible to hear properly because of the noise. The WiFi also is very weak and makes it difficult to stay here on business travels. The bathroom is tiny with insects crawling in the bathtub and the interiors are jaded and old. Carpets reek, are torn many places and the air conditioning also is very noisy. The antique furniture sure adds charm but only in pictures. The bed is very high and difficult to climb on and off. Not very practical. The only thing going for this place are the people working there. Having said that I complained about the noise but was told that I couldn’t get any other room as they know about it and all rooms have the same issue. I would not recommend this place.

The only reason staff got a 2 rating was due to the older lady in the evening that was always sweet but the guy that checked us in was rude both times. The bed was old and uncomfortable. The area was noisy and due to poor insulation you could hear a pen drop outside the room much less all the cars. Homeless people aloud to sit and smoke right at the door. Definitely needs better upgrades. We thought with the name Biltmore it would be nicer but we were sadly mistaken and for the price at almost $500 for 2 nights we weren’t happy!

For the historic enthusiast!

I am a bit of a history buff so enjoyed listening to the many stories about historic Greensboro and the families related to the now Biltmore of Greensboro. I was especially fascinated with the elevator as it brought me back to fond memories of the lift operators of old.
