Always a fun option. The rooms are small, decorated with university of CA, Berkeley swag. Easy check in and a place to park which is valuable in Berkeley. Decent food on site, thousands of restaurants within walking distance as is the University.

Our stay here was amazing. Staff for the restaurant and hotel were friendly. Only thing i found to be a down side is that they had everytbing you could need at their little store except mouthwash lol

Much older than it looks. Nice visually but gross floors, tiny sink, broken closet and terrible service in the restaurant. Very tiny parking lot. Had to park blocks away in an overnight garage then walk through homeless encampments to get back to the hotel.

Fun theme, feels like you're in an old apartment building, key word being old. The parking was very limited, had we not gotten there at 3 I don't know where we would have been directed to go. The restaurant was ok. The salads were limp and overdressed. Breakfast sandwich in the morning was good. We stayed here for the location to the Greek. Construction right next door started at 7am.

I loved the area the hotel was in. The rate itself was competitive as well. There was a little blood stain on the comforter (super small but there) and the gym, and showers could use an upgrade. High end products in the shower and great art in the rooms. Overall: cool concept and lots of potential but could use a little TLC. If you’re not fussy and care more about a good rate for a good enough hotel, this spot is perfect.
