We enjoyed this quieter neighborhood with a view of the city. The apartment is well maintained. Detear made sure we had everything we needed. Good restaurants are nearby as well as a laundry. Don’t miss stopping in the chocolate shop! The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals.

Worked out well for our needs.

This was a combination tourism-study trip. The first week with my wife was to tour the city and the next three weeks with a friend was for Spanish language classes at ICO. The two large bedrooms were ideal for us students. Excellent WiFi reception and a short walk to our classes. My only suggestion is that a few simple additions to the kitchen, such as dish towels and mixing bowls would have made food preparation a lot easier. Not all guests would want to cook while there, but for a month-long stay we prepared meals about half the time. But I wouldn't hesitate to choose this apartment again for another stay.

Perfect Location

Met up with my daughter and her partner so we needed a 2-bedroom apartment easy walk to el centro. A side benefit/sweet surprise of the quality of four restaurants within a 5 minute walk! The landlord was super responsive.The 4 star overall was due to things outside his control - busy street and dog that barked at everything.It was a perfect fit for the three of us and we were grateful to have found it. Especially with AC in the bedrooms!One note: all taxi drivers went to a different #3 down the street which caused some confusion. This one is at the top of the hill across from #2.

Spotless apartment in Oaxaca's oldest neighborhood

We stayed in the apartment for 4 weeks in February 2024 and it suited us very well. We liked the location, just about 15-20 minutes north of El Centro, where many of the sights and museums are located. It’s in a safe neighborhood, well-lit a night. There is a grocery store just 5 minutes away, a laundry 2 minutes away, and many good restaurants within easy walking distance. The apartment was clean (and cleaned weekly), attractive, and thoughtfully furnished. We had some business to take care of while there, and the desk space and excellent wireless worked well. And best of all, our host was very quick to respond if we had questions or requests. This apartment contributed significantly to our enjoyment of our stay in Oaxaca.
