We stayed here 5 times over the winter. We love this place. Super comfortable and a half way point from Puebla to Zipolite. Thank you for a great stay! We’ll be back.

The location is great.
But the place is very old .
The cleaning and helping crew amazing.
But the managing of the place very poor.
The breakfast buffet not good.
And can’t believe the managements does not supply
Conditioner for your hair.
The price is right when you stay here - you do not feel like you are in the middle of the city. The views of the city are amazing! Some updates are needed - the rug in the room was patched and the amazing huge pool has many tiles that need to be replaced.

A nice affordable stay
Keep in mind that this review is based on a pretty economically friendly room between $50-$75 a night. The place was huge, so there is a wide variety of how nice the room can be. Our room was just right for the two of us as we didn’t spend a lot of time in there mainly just to sleep and store our stuff. However, the view that we got was amazing, but that was really sheer luck as some of them were not as good.
Overall, the stay was really nice. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Nothing here is super fancy and you can see the wear and tear but the staff are super friendly and it feels like Mexico. The restaurant had just OK food nothing great same with the drink but was highly convenient and the view from the upstairs bar was breathtaking.
DO NOT DO LAUNDRY HERE!! They sneakily charged me 1400 pesos for one single load of laundry even though I asked them what the charges would be. Literally more than an entire night at the hotel... Really ruined the good feel about them and is the only reason I wouldn’t return. You can do it down the street for 20 pesos.
I think what I’d say is that this is a good affordable place that isn’t directly in the city center, but close enough that you can walk or take a taxi for five dollars. Besides the one laundry altercation everything about the day was really nice.
This hotel is huge. I would imagine they would keep it nice and cleaned. Unfortunately it is horribly dirty. The front desk people are extremely rude. The coffe maker not working. When we asked for a replacement they got upset with us
Beautiful property just outside the busy zone but easy shuttle or taxi.

Comfortable, but dated.
The hotel is very dated. The beds were very comfortable, but the bathroom was old and needed attention. It did the job, but wasn’t particularly pleasant to be in. No fridge in the room to keep water cold.
The staff were friendly, breakfast was ok, but I didn’t need crickets in my omelette! But when in Mexico and all that!
The grounds were spotless and the pool was lovely. A great bonus after a day in the city. You need transport or taxis to get in and out if the town. I the evening they do have a free bus to take you into the town.
The Victoria was every bit as nice as the website showed. It's on the edge of the hills just a short distance from the city center. The grounds are well-maintained, clean and full of trees and plants. If there's any drawback, it's the fact that the city center is a half-hour walk, so I took frequent cab rides. Since the cabs were only 80 pesos ($4) per ride, it was no big deal. They don't have an ATM to get cash, and the desk doesn't always have cash on hand to exchange for dollars. But those are small concerns considering the overall nice experience.
This is an older property, but the staff seem to take pride in their work and provide a high-level of service and attention. We ate at the restaurant for a couple of the buffet breakfasts and for a dinner and found the food to be quite good and always served hot. There is a gentleman not far from the hotel who rents mopeds and motorcycles, and will deliver to the hotel if needed. FYI
This is a beautiful, old fashioned property. The decore and landscaping looked like it was 1960’s. It’s quiet and comfortable with grand views of the city and mountains behind it! The staff is professional and polite. We love this hotel…. We saw other Americans staying there. This is a great stay for someone that wants modern comforts. (Plenty of hot water)
