House needs work

I visit Jamaica every year and stay at Drax Hall. I am familiar with the location and I like the amenities offered. The house was nice, but I don’t feel it should be listed until brought up to code. The stove is not in good working order. It’s missing knobs and you can’t tell if it’s turned on to get it lit. One of the burners will light, but you can still smell gas seeping out. The gas ran out on Christmas Eve and had to be refilled. The guy that brought the gas said it was not safe. The water pressure in the house was very very low. Sometimes it was more like a drip. I traveled with my 4 month old daughter so most nights I would have to save water in pots to have enough to cook with and bathe. I’ve stayed in this location for years and I never experienced this problem before. The water NEVER got hot. This was a big issue for me because I needed to wash bottles and give my daughter a bath. There was not enough towels available. We stayed for 2 weeks. In addition the air conditioning would not stay on. So the living room was really hot. The tv in the master bedroom didn’t work most of the time. I think it worked for like a total of 2 nights. The washer and dryer was really really nice. The owner of the property stated he wasn’t aware of the issues. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but after seeing so many issues I feel that he has to be aware of some of them. He communicated quickly with me on the day of check-in. Then someone came and gave us a preview of the property. The following day I voiced my concerns and he stated he’d get someone to come by. They never did. This property has too many issues that need to be resolved. The price did not reflect the any discount for the deficiencies.
