Great location right next to ferry station/dock. Lovely building. Great view of lake from window. Clean, spacious and good breakfast including some cooked items (sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes). Pros - location, breakfast, seperate toilet room in bathroom, comfortable bed Cons - pillows too soft (we asked for different pillow but they just gave us another to add to 2 we already had), no air-conditioning in room (small pedestal fan) room was quite warm even in cooler weather, shower bath combo small and slippery with shower head in weird spot, quiet except to people above moving around (we were on “4th” floor and sounded like a herd of elephants above us at times!) Overall a good place to stay, expensive due to location, but Hallstatt is just so beautiful it makes it worth it!

Very convenient location with an amazing view. Definitely recommend a balcony room if you can get one. Staff was very helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast is good and dinner is great there too.

Location is unique with great views. Front desk came across not polite. Also they charged me 45E extra for my child although i had booked a superior room. Hotel staff not at all warm and did not feel welcomed.When asked about places to visit nearby, they asked me to go to the city tourist information center.However, the location is very convinient with great views. I would not book this hotel again. No AC at thus property

What an amazing experience- probably best hotel we stayed- staff is very friendly and helped us with large luggage, place is spectacular, best sleep, pure alpine water right out of the faucet and everything though about in details, such as comfortable bed, coffee tea, delicious breakfast, amazing dinner menu with wild mushrooms, forest berries and so much more. Highly recommend

Sewer smell!

Hotel is nice and restaurants does service great food. We stayed for three nights and no complain for the first two nights. The last night however was horrible strong sewer smell that would come and go. Since the hotel does not have AC you want to open window and door, but we barely couldn’t. The hotel staff came and checked a few times but because smell come and go they could not do anything. We had to move our luggage the day before to the car so it would not stink. Make sure to not stay in 1403 room

Truly the greatest stop of our journey through the Alps this summer. We were torn whether to stay outside the city center at one of the other communities around Hallstatt but in the end we took the plunge and stayed at Heritage and it didn’t disappoint. We were able to amble through its quiet streets at night amidst the drizzle and rain and it was perfect. Throw in a good meal at the restaurant there when the other places in town were closed or fully booked and I’d go back again and again if I could. What a magical place Hallstatt is and what a way to complement it by the hotel.

Great stay with an amazing view and nice room

We were upgraded to a suite, but it was located in a different building. A bellhop placed our luggage in a motorized carrier, and we hoofed it up to the site with his guidance. This might have been a tough climb for some folks, but we didn't have any trouble and the view/room were amazing. Both breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant were delicious.
