Everything was great at this hotel. Not much English spoken on reception but we managed to get by with Google translate! Great for the station - a little dates but fine for what it is. Only downside was that breakfast was rather busy and at times we went for a walk to allow for the crowds to die down before we ate. 6.30am - seemed to be the busiest time as I think many business men use this hotel so want to get out early. We would certainly stay again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice view of the station from my window. Easy and safe to walk around. Close to everything you need. Decent walk to Okayama Castle. Close to one of, if not best AEON Mall.

The location is great. The JR train station is just across the street, and lots of shops are in the station. The hotel's free, hot breakfast is wonderful and nutritious. My minor complaints are: The room decor is outdated and the bathroom sink drains a bit slow. But everything is well kept and clean. I love this hotel and keep coming back when I need to stay in Okayama.

It's very clean, basic but has all you need for a short stay. The breakfast wasn't the best I had in Japan. Breakfast area It's not too comfortable when it gets crowded at peak times.

Loved that it was 5 min walk from the station! The area felt very safe although I wasnt out in the dark. My room was on the 2nd floor facing the laneway ( which is where the entrance is). I felt very safe as a single female. The breakfast was very varied. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. The bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Toyoko inn is always a great stay. Rooms are clean and comfy. Convenient location, friendly staff, good breakfast included. It’s always been a good stay at their many locations. Great value for money Highly recommend

I loved my stay at this hotel. Yes, the hotel is old and outdated for sure, but it is kept clean. My room was small, but the bed was bigger than expected. The free, hot breakfast was very nice. Many dishes (not only eggs and sausages but also cooked vegetables, meat, miso soup, etc.). But due to the breakfast area being small, the line was long. It was really close to Okayama Station. There are two convenience stores nearby (Lawson and Seven-Eleven). Lots of restaurants around. Some front desk people should be more friendly. I don't know if I want to return with my family, but the hotel catered to my basic needs (traveling alone).

They specify their room cleaning hours at check-in; 10am - 4pm; and they expect guests to vacate the room for this service. I received a reminder phone call from front desk at 10.15am after my first night.
