The hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The reception staff were helpful and made check in and check out easy. Onsite restaurant staff were helpful and breakfast and dinners were enjoyable.

it took 15 minutes for water to get hot. we had some issues with housekeeping moving our personal belongings and spilling our suitcases which was very frustrating and disappointing. also the concierge staff were not able to answer even the most basic questions. room and resort were very nice except these issues

The staff is great, rooms were always cleaned in the morning and early evening. Everything about the resort is beautiful. The pools close at 7:00pm, too early for me, they need to stay open a little later.

Amazing hotel. Usually I stay at Manchebo beach but this time, I stayed at Joia! Wow, great great amenities. The pools, bar service, the views, the beach, the free sunscreen they have at the beach, towel service, great great food quality!! The food was great, nice variations, great options, and everything was too-notch! The room was huge. Comfortable beds. Loved the jacuzzi in the balcony. Loved that I asked the DJ to play songs and we danced by the pool. The hospitality service is welcoming and superb. I will def go back again! Breakfast buffet is great. Mary Rose was our host and she was super nice. The coffee tastes good. We tried the Italian restaurant too. We tried the food at the pool at night. Great option if you want to eat light. I never had to leave the hotel tbh!

The cleaning of the room was perfect on day 1. After that, it dropped off and we had to call for cleaning services regularly. We even had one night that we had a hard time getting anyone to bring us towels since the room wasn't cleaned that day. Overall, the stay was great. I would stay here again. I now know the steps to take to ensure things are done. Having a rental car is great. The resort has a valet that will bring you your car and park it at no charge (tipping appreciated). The cost of drinks is extremely high at the resort. $10 for a beer that costs <$2 at the store. Buy them at the Super Food and bring them from your room. The service at the beach is lacking. Don't expect fast service down there. If you have a butler, use them instead. Otherwise, you're going to have to deal with slow waits, cold food, and warm drinks. On occasion it is faster. That is more rare.
