The staff were amazing here!! Everyone was so eager to please and very kind. They made you feel like you belong there. I mentioned it was my boyfriend’s birthday briefly and they made sure he felt celebrated and special! The poolside bartender Roney was so welcoming and made the best drinks. Everyone else from housekeeping, servers, cafe staff, to front desk had superior service. That is rare these days let me tell you! The pools were great and the quick cross of the road to the pristine beach was incredible. The complimentary beach chairs, the filtered water stations and free sunscreen were all very thoughtful perks. The location of the hotel is in a great area in Eagle beach. It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the “strip” in the Palm beach area, but close enough to take a quick cab or rent the electric scooters that were easily accessible on the beach sidewalks and streets. I had an amazing stay here and would certainly recommend to anyone going to Aruba! We would love to come back! Thank you to all the staff!

Beautiful new resort, top notch. Food and restaurants were so delicious. The most friendly, helpful staff you’ll ever meet. Made the stay so much more beautiful. The beach is a little weird bc it’s across the street and you have to cross over traffic. Not a deal breaker though, just a different feel from the traditional “beach resort” feel. The most comfortable beach/pool/lobby seats we’ve ever felt. The smell of the resort, amazing! We want the smell for home. Highly recommend!! Get the banana crème brûlée, you won’t be disappointed.!

Very clean, new, room ocean view amazing, cleaning everyday and before bed time , glass bottle of water was provided everyday, logged shop super. The only negative feedback stuff doesn’t know about Expedia gold status clents’s benefits and denied to upgrade room for free . Charge me for room upgrade but promised to resolve this issue. Members beware… If you’ve grown accustomed to the excellence, services, and amenities of the Iberostar JOIA brand, this is NOT the same level Addressed concerns with property staff, membership, and PR person - each time met with “it’s different in Aruba.” Felt like a bait and switch situation. PROS: - Beautiful facility - much still under construction, overall nice and clean - Italian restaurant and breakfast buffet wonderful. Only one other restaurant open near the beach/street. - Staff very friendly and helpful across property! CONS: - NOT Adult only as with other JOIA - NOT all inclusive. Had to pay for services/foods/drinks always included at other JOIAs. Basic liquors were charged and not “included” in membership benefits - No designated member area on the beach. Made reservation for beach first day, upon arrival they had no idea n had to wait for chairs to be set up. Kevin took great care to bring drinks/food, but took forever (not his fault) bc beach is across busy street from resort. - Beach area is public and people set up tents/chairs directly in front of you closer to water - Designated pool member area overrun with nonmembers. No dedicated staff serving members at the pool area. Had member concierge waitress running back and forth to care for everyone. - Spa not properly staffed to allow for member services while there Overall, not five star resort. If they merge other JOIA services/amenities with the beauty of the property, this could be a special place.

I cannot say enough positive things about this resort. the staff was very accommodating, and the rooms and entire facility were beautiful. We were very pampered from the time we stepped into the hotel until we checked out. The hotel was a mile or two off the beaten path but we enjoyed not feeling too crowded in. Taxis were everywhere and usually a 10-12$ fee to nightlife, shopping, or airport. We would 100% return to the Joia for our next visit.
