I feel like I got bamboozled with this rental. I specifically booked it because of the game room and amenities geared toward kids shown in the Expedia pictures that I thought were in the condo. They were not. Any amenities from those pictures were in the main house. The carpet was stained, the floors and doors all creaked/squeaked (which matters if you have kids who are light sleepers and you’re trying to ninja walk out of the room at night), when it rained, the ants would come in the downstairs sliding doors, trash pickup is right next door, and it comes very loudly at 3 a.m., the sheets on the beds were put on with the tag up by the head, so the beds had to be remade to move the tags to the foot of the beds, the couch is bowed where either a huge person sat on it, or kids have jumped on it and broken it. We didn’t even use the back patio area because it looked like it hadn’t been used in quite some time.
Regarding stairs, I was unaware this rental had stairs. I have young kids and always look for places without stairs so they don’t fall. My youngest fell down the stairs the first day and hurt his hip.
Other issues of note: I have never stayed in a rental with a kitchen before and have not been provided with general kitchen amenities such as salt, pepper, coffee pods, foil, plastic bags, etc. We had purchased some groceries prior to arriving but were unable to season anything we cooked. Had we known these types of items weren’t provided, we would have picked them up.
