My favoritr hotel in Japan. Normally I prefer buffet style breakfasts since as a diabetic I like to be able finish any need for carbohydrates with orange juice refills, but I look forward to their breakfast even though it's not a buffet. Best part of the hotel is its location, quick wall to a JR station, convenience store, and full grocery store. Does not take too long to get to Sin-Osaka station which provices easey access to the Shinkansen, perfect for foreigners with a JR pass.
It's an old but clean and cozy hotel. The location is very convenient for traveling to Kyoto and Osaka and the surrounding is safe with a lot of shopping and eating places. The staff are very friendly. The massage chair is broken the day I stayed but I rented their aroma lamp and it was great.
Staff were great and always answered our questions. The room has enough space for our needs and even if the train is nearby, we hardly hear the noise. We would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is so close to Kishibe station, a really quick train ride from Osaka station. The room was bigger than expected, clean, comfortable, and had all of the amenities. I wish I could've stayed longer!
Not too far from Osaka statuon, just take 15 minutes by train. Quite convience, hotel located at queit local demostic zone, have big supermarket nearby and restaurants.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Great service, though the hotel feels a little old. Very near to JR station, so it was very comfortable for us as we brought a big luggage. A restaurant beside this hotel was also great, taste good with very reasonable price!
This was our first night in Japan. Just needed a place to sleep and recover after 16 hours of travel from the USA.
Basic, small room but comfortable bed and very quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Good price. Met our needs for 1 night. Might be a bit small for longer stays.
Only 1 key per room, need the room key to be plugged in to have electricity in room. WIFI is only available at lobby. Semi double room was a single bed in N.America standard, no space for 2 people. Bathroom is extremely small. Staff is not friendly.
The hotel was very close to the train station (1 minute walk at most) which was very convenient. The hotel staff were nice and was able to help us with our mailing needs. We had forgotten something at the hotel and the staff were prompt to send out the item to our next hotel (which we received the next day). The hotel was very clean and I enjoyed the free amenities provided by the front desk for everyone staying at the hotel. I wish that the hotel would have provided wifi in the rooms as well instead of just the main floor, but it's not a reason that would stop me from visiting this hotel again!
Overall it was a comfortable stay and the extended Japanese style sitting room in the double room we stayed in, was a bonus. The bathroom lighting was a little low. Heating/Air con was easily used. Wouldnt mind staying again, but isnt a place we would stay for longer than a couple of days. Wifi was only available in the lobby but if you have a laptop, there is a cord provided for high-speed internet in the room. :)
We loved our stay at Kishibe station hotel. We stayed with our 1 year old daughter and could not have had a nicer time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The location was perfect and right next door to kishibe station which is direct to osaka with 3-4 stops and around 20-30 minutes to Kyoto depending if you get the JR. rapid. This was an ideal base for us as we wanted to visit and explore both places.
Breakfast was simple with a choice between japanese or western. Western was our choice with toast, small omelette, pasta, salad and yoghurt. Though not the biggest breakfast it was always very nice and fresh.
On our last day our flight was early, the restaurant staff heard about this and actually made us a breakfast early so we could eat before our flight. We were very impressed by this nice touch.
We really can't fault Kishibe station hotel in any way! Highly recommended.
Great hotel that is about 1 min walk from Kishibe station. Although it is so close, you can barely hear the trains so no need to be concerned that it will wake you up. The room was quite large and even has a small Japanese section with paper sliding doors, tatami mats and a small low table. The staff spoke passable English. You do need to hand your keys to the staff when going out, but strangely when claiming the keys again, all they ask for is the room number. They didn't seem to check against ID so I would advise you to be careful about what you leave lying around in your room.
