Book Oshu hotels

It's recommended you book early, as there are only a few hotel options that are less than 10 kilometres from the heart of Oshu.

The Hotel Route-Inn Oshu is the closest hotel to the middle of Oshu and is only a short drive away.

The Hiraizumi Hot Spring Ryokan Soba'an Shizukatei is located 16 kilometres from the main part of Oshu. Another accommodation option is the APA Hotel Kitakami-Ekinishi, which is positioned 18 kilometres away. Other places to stay are the Hotel Route-Inn Kitakami Ekimae and the Chisun Inn Iwate Ichinoseki Ic.

Don't head off before checking out what there is to see and do in the rest of the area. Explore the ruins, castles and old towns in Tohoku, or simply head off with that someone special and admire the region's forests and lakes. Fun-loving types can enjoy snowboarding, skiing and tobogganing here.

Don't skedaddle before you have checked out the Iwate-koen and Morioka Handi-Works Square in Morioka. Should you wish to stay in Morioka, be sure to check out the Daiwa Roynet Hotel Morioka and Hotel Route-Inn Morioka Ekimae. 95 kilometres to the south of Oshu you'll find Tagajo, home to the Hotel Route-Inn Sendai-Tagajo and Hotel Route-Inn Tagajo Eki Higashi. The Tohoku History Museum and Taga Castle Ruins are amongst the more popular places to see when you're in Tagajo.

Before you head home, why not spend an afternoon rubbing shoulders and cheering along with Tohoku sports fans at a local game? You'll find Miyagi Baseball Stadium 100 kilometres to the south of Oshu. The The Westin Sendai and the Hotel Metropolitan Sendai are good options if you want to really get into your sport.
