Comfortable and affordable

Room was at a good price for the location. We were on the eighth floor and our room got quite warm. There was a fan but no air conditioning.

Excellent location, 10 minute walk to City centre but room really quiet. Nothing negative to report, would highly recommend the hotel and restaurant. All staff very friendly and helpful, dinner in restaurant freshly prepared and tasty, and the breakfast was the best ever!

The location is very good. The restaurant is excellent. The staff are friendly. The rooms are very small and outdated. The WiFi is weak and the TV monitor is just a few years beyond a CRT. Overall, not a great value, but acceptable if all other reasonably-priced options are booked.

This hotel is located close to National Theatre rail station which is a direct link to the airport. There is a tram stop and taxi rank close by, although we found it so easy to walk around this beautiful city. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff very welcoming . The hotel provided the best breakfast I have experienced on my many travels. The only diwnside was that they missed making up our room on the agreed day, but fresh towels were provided promptly. The hotel is highly recommended despite this slight mishap.

Nice hotel but too noisy and without blackout

Nice hotel and breakfast but wouldnt stay again. Way too much noise from fans etc and curtains let the daylight in from early morning.

Nice hotel but room very noisy

Nice hotel. Convenient location. Nice breakfast options. Good green initiatives. My room was very noisy. Fans outside going until midnight and people could be heard in the room above whenever the walked around. Curtains dont exactly meet in centre so daylight gets in early. Definitely not a real 4 star hotel.

Close to transport with a great buffet breakfast.

Thon Europa is located perfectly next to tram and bus depots so getting to the centre of Oslo is easy with the Oslo card. The breakfast was also very good with an extensive selection of different dishes to choose from.

The hotel is located very close to the national theater and very easy to get to by train from the airport. I booked a double room because it was the same price as a single and I am so glad I did. I was on the seventh floor and my room allowed a nightly sunset. The staff, all of the staff was extraordinary, the breakfast was ample, and my room was so comfortable. There is a Nespresso maker in your room, but there is also one in the lobby, which is where I chose to make my coffee every day. As a single female traveler, I felt very safe coming back to the hotel late at night, which is very important to me. Matias!!! He saved me because I booked a very expensive Uber from the hotel to the airport the morning of my departure. He guided me to a bus that was around the corner from the hotel, which allowed me to get to the airport in plenty of time for my 6:20 AM flight out of Oslo!! It was my first stay at this Thon chain of hotels, but with it will not be my last. Very highly recommend!!!

Great value hotel. Excellent service from front desk. Good breakfast. I had a standard twin overlooking the castle. Although the road was busy, the windows were double glazed and blocked all noise, which I’m quite sensitive to. The colours in my room were not appealing, but the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable-not too firm. Don’t understand why hotels such as this one have uncarpeted floors- footfalls can be heard from above. This is an annoyance. Fortunately, the guests above were considerate, as I tried to be to those below me. All and all, a really good stay!
