Cozy Lakefront Retreat 20 Minutes from Cascade Mountain Ski Resort

Escape to Wolf Lake where you’ll find our relaxing "Bass Alley" cabin tucked onto a private, waterfront lot in Oxford. Your family will love paddle boating, fishing or swimming in this calm, “No Motor" lake. Take in the views while sipping your drink of choice on the deck or cozying up next to the indoor fireplace. Surrounding areas offer trails, along with several ski resorts, or go for a quick drive into the Dells to browse restaurants, shops, and waterparks.

The Space:
A-frame cabin with lofted pinewood ceilings, gas fireplace and windows from floor to ceiling overlooking the backyard and lake. There are 2 spacious bedrooms, 3 baths, jacuzzi, a large loft area for additional sleeping, and a two story deck for grilling and outdoor dining. The kitchen boasts newer stainless appliances and all the amenities needed to prepare a meal for the whole family. The large backyard is perfect for outdoor activities and includes an outdoor firepit, some wood included.

There’s a reason we call this “Bass Alley” cabin, as the lake is perfect for fishing panfish (bluegill, crappie, perch), bass, and northern pike, with depths up to 58 feet.

Guest access:
You will have access to the entire property except for the locked basement storage room and garage.

Other things to note:
YoutubeTV is the cable provider and the app can be found on the main menu of each RokuTV. This is included and you do not need to login with a guest account. Additional streaming services are available with guest accounts.

This home was in a beautiful neighborhood, and location. The master bedroom was huge and so was the bathroom. The stand up shower had a rock floor that absolutely killed my feet and made it hard to walk the rest of the day. The bedding had clearly not been washed because there were small strings of hair all over the fitted sheet which was kind of gross to sleep in.The upstairs loft bedroom was nice and very cute, but make note that there is no way to close off any noise or light for the people sleeping up there.The other bedroom is down in the basement away from everything and it was freezing down there no matter what we did. The bathroom near that bedroom was very very dirty and we didn't even want to use it.For what we paid to stay in this home we would have hoped it would be much cleaner. As we walked around the kitchen and living area we were constantly feeling things under our feet. On the plus side, again, the area was beautiful and so was the lake.

Relaxing and comfortable vacation

We had a wonderful week splitting our time between relaxing days at the cabin and fun outings in the Dells. The cabin was well equipped and very comfortable. The lake was quiet and peaceful. We caught plenty of bass and bluegills from the rowboat. When we wanted more activity, it was about a 30 minute drive to the Dells, where we enjoyed a waterpark, played mini golf, and went out to eat. It was the best of both worlds - tranquil and convenient. Highly recommend!

Midwest at its best

This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at on vacation. The attention to all the small details that was put into this cabin, were really nice . The area is great this was our first time being in this part of the country and it was lovely, the open farm land , all the lakes it was nice to see part of the country that has been over developed.

Fall Getaway

This house was the perfect place to enjoy an “Up-North” experience just a few hours away from Waukesha county. The interior of the house was decorated beautifully with a modern cabin feel and the owners really thought of everything to make our stay top notch. From a basket of brochures for local attractions to the turned down folds on the towels, this house had it all. Eddie provided great detail on checking in and out and made himself accessible should we need anything. Wonderful memories were made for my husband and 92 year old mother! We will be back!

Fantastic stay - even better than expected

We arrived expecting, well, a cabin on a small lake. We arrived to heaven! The house was SO much roomier than expected, and the facilities including boats and paddle boards made our stay magical. We truly enjoyed our time in Oxford, and made lasting memories. My girls had their first fishing experience, caught LOADS of bass and forgive the pin, are hooked. Thank you!

Wonderful and cozy

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed. There was plenty of room to spread out and also to come together for dinner and family time. Everyone enjoyed the paddle and row boats. The lake was nice. We enjoyed listening to the frogs at night too.

Great time

Very clean, spacious and relaxing. Perfect for 6 adults. We used the paddle boards and paddle boat each day. Cooked out on the grill 1 night and used the fire pit. Looking forward to coming back in the fall!
