We offer exclusive use of our comfortable guest house - perfect for a work, education, or family visit, for a relaxing break or a base for exploring the surrounding area.

Our secluded home is located in a quiet corner of Kennington, Oxfordshire, just a short walk from the River Thames. Equally close to Oxford and Abingdon.

Rooms

Our rooms have been recently refurbished and maintained to a high standard. They feature comfortable beds, ample storage space, tea/coffee making facilities, and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms also offer stunning views of the garden.

Facilities

This modern and high spec house has a large communal kitchen, where you can prepare your meals, eat what you've brought home or relax with a cup of tea. Food delivery services are also available to the property. There is also a TV / reading room, and a garden patio with outdoor seating.

There ample secure parking inside the gate for up to four cars and bike storage behind a locked gate. There is one shared bathroom, plus one double with en suite shower/toilet. There is a further wash room downstairs.

Access to the house is via a keypad for the gate and front door, so you can come and go as you please, without worrying about keys.

There's a patio area outside and some original design features including an iron spiral staircase and old mill wheel from when Sandford Lock was still in use as a mill.

We have shoes-off policy upstairs inside the house, please. This helps keep the whole place clean for everyone. Do bring some slippers or comfy house shoes.

Location

In between Oxford and Abingdon, with easy transport options - near the A34 for cars; 20 mins by bus to Oxford; or even a 5km cycle or walk along the River Thames path, besides the flood meadow, all the way to the town centre.

Nearby is a pub overlooking Sandford Lock on the River Thames for an evening meal, and other eat out options in Abingdon and scattered around the countryside. Other nearby food options include fish and chips and the community / sports pub, plus a small supermarket in Kennington village centre (15 mins walk).

Oxford offers great shopping and further afield is Bicester Village for a high end splurge.
