​​​​​​​ This home is built directly on a sand dune that leads to the beach. During winter storms the sand can quickly drift and accumulate around the property sometimes affecting the ocean view. Although we make every effort to remove the sand and preserve the view prior to your stay, the winter weather makes this difficult to predict and views may not be guaranteed.

Kiwanda Shores is a private gated community of quality homes on the ocean front in Pacific City. Security, pride in ownership and peaceful enjoyment of the coastal experience is shared by Kiwanda Shores homeowners and renters alike. A low bank sandy beach slopes to the ocean from the Ocean Front homes. Beach access is available to the Second Row and Back homes.

Kiwanda Coastal Properties is a local, professional Oregon Coast vacation rental management company that offers over 50 homes in the Pacific City area. We have been offering beach rental homes for more than 30 years. Reliable management means responsive service, insider guides to the area and a better vacation experience. Our nearby office is staffed 7 days a week ensuring that homes and guests are taken care of if any needs arise. We look forward to accommodating your next beach trip. Cancellation Policy:
1/2 the total cost of the booking is subject to forfeiture if reservation is canceled or changed within 30 days of arrival. 100% of rental rate is charged if cancelled (or no-show) within 14 days of arrival. If the house is fully rebooked by another renter, cancellation charges (less $35) will be refunded. Reservation cancellation fee is $35. (If you book with a 3rd party, different charges may apply).

Occupancy Note:
Occupancy rules are strictly enforced and apply to the entire property during the stay. Additional day-use guests may be allowed with management pre-approval. After your booking is confirmed, you will be sent the full rental contract and terms.

The Westerly was an absolute gem! It had everything I was looking for (pet friendly, single level, beach front) and some great extras. such as parking in the attached garage. Very clean, everything is new/updated, the views are incredible. The beds/bedrooms were comfy and each had adjustable heat in the room. Very nice that the master bed has its own bathroom. Large comfy sofa, large dining table, kitchen had everything we needed. Overhead fans were helpful with the space getting warmer during sunsets. Fun to watch the many surfers catching waves. The community is gated so not much traffic. We loved this place and hope to come back again soon.

Great Location

You definitely couldn't get any closer to the ocean! There is an awful lot of sand to contend with but if you're okay with that this is a great place. The views out the front windows were incredible! The beds were comfortable. There are a number of games and jigsaw puzzles to keep you occupied should the weather be unaccommodating as it was on our stay. The house was very clean and there was enough room in the garage to park our car. Definitely bring any necessity you think you might need. There is as listed, one pot of coffee provisions and bring plastic bags or Saran Wrap as those are not included. We were all very happy with our stay despite the weather which was blowing sand and sheets of rain.

Relaxing time at the beach

The view and the sunsets were amazing. The place was nice decorated, clean and well stocked. The location was perfect. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing vacation. I stopped at the Safeway in Lincoln City and stocked up on food, there is only one grocery store in Pacific City. The kitchen was very functional.

Nearly under the beach.

Fine house. No complaints. However, the pictures are deceptive. House is above and back from the beach. It’s an area of blowing dunes that have almost blocked the view. Sand piles up on all sides of the house. Neighbors on either side had view blocked. Before staying there, I would verify it still has a view of the ocean

2023 Pacific City vaca

We really appreciated the updating of the house. It has been at least 10 years since we stayed at the Westerly. The only issue we had was our little dog somehow licked up too much sand and had to go to the nearest Vet ER which was in Salem. We have never had this happen before. We are thinking that because the floors are sand-colored, he would lick up dropped food or something and it accumulated over time. He is fine but it took two days away from our trip and $2600.00. The Wilvet in Salem was fantastic however.

perfect little home on the beach

This house was perfect for my family and I. The beach was right outside and my children could be outside while I cooked breakfast and I could still see them. The only downfall is that about 30 yards from the back of the yard is a steep sandy hill that leads down to the water. It is manageable, but was quite a climb coming back up.

Perfect Beach Getaway

What a view...

Lovely, clean home with an amazing view. We had great weather, but in this house it would not have mattered as you can sit inside and enjoy the ocean view. The kitchen was well stocked. We would love to return to this house and Pacific City! Thank you. Small suggestion: Better quality bed linen

Great rental

The property was very clean and had everything we needed. If I could make any suggestions they would be for better reading lights in the living room and a better mattress in the queen bedroom. The fitted sheet kept coming off the corners because the mattress is so thin. We had a wonderful time, despite these suggestions!

A great, clean beach front getaway

We were hoping for a great 3 night getaway in Pacific City/Cape Kiwanda, and the house is as advertised. Very clean, updated, etc. I suffer from allergies, and molds are not my friend. This house had no mold. We enjoyed the home with our dog. Beach access is right there, and the town is walking distance. The only downside is that there was a strong storm for our weekend (in December) and high winds brought a lot of sand to the exterior of the premises, including our truck. That’s not the home’s fault, and it is beach front. We plan to book it again. Great views of Haystack Rock and the dune/cape.

Absolutely Stunning View

We've stayed many places on the Oregon coast over the years, but watching the waves crash into Haystack from the the warm, dry living room can't be beat! The house was well-stocked and in perfect condition. It's a quick walk down the dune to the beach that even I, as a senior, was able to manage. We will definitely return next summer!

Absolutely Perfect

The experience was absolutely unbeatable. 100% will stay again in the future. The property felt safe, homey, warm, and was positively breathtaking. The only issues we ran into was that (1) we stayed her with my Grandmother and beach access was very difficult for her as the house are up on such a steep hill and (2) the welcome book needs updated very badly. There were pages from 2014 in there. But these were minor inconveniences we were able to work around.

Relaxing

Overall, this was a very relaxing trip. My friend and I did a girls’ trip with my two pups for a week. The size of the house was perfect. The pros outweigh the cons clearly. I am a detail oriented person and wanted to share my experience. Pros: As I mentioned, this size home was just right for my friend and I. It is right on the beach which makes for an amazing view. We even got to see a deer on the beach one morning! The management company also addressed the sand issue in a few hours. I loved how much kitchen items there were. It made it great to cook in! I never would have guessed this place had a slow cooker! When I emailed asking what was here, I was told “just the basics.” Clearly there was more! There were plenty of extra towels. I would stay here again! My friend and I are both front line workers. For her to say she has never seen me so relaxed demonstrates the amazing atmosphere of this beach front home. I am truly grateful to have stayed here for a week because I do feel a ton better after finally relaxing. Cons: The pictures show different color outside and furniture. We had to clean it since we were informed it was cleaned that morning. However, there was a big sand pile in front with no tire marks. There was hair and soap residue left in the shower. I also had to reach out to get the sand shoveled since there was no shovel. I reported these concerns by leaving a voicemail. However, the automated emails send an email making sure your stay is okay. I respond with the same thing and received an email response that someone would get back to me. Never a phone call back. I would have liked to have more toilet paper than what was provided. When checking out, the staff was not the friendliest and was not wearing a mask when I walked in. I know the management company is not based on this interaction which is why I did deduct only one star.
