Staff were friendly although language was a barrier in many situations. Recommended drivers did not understand or speak english well enough to take us to specific destinations. Very eager to have you use their services but the lack of understanding was a concern and we would end up on drives that didnt lead to our destination around the city. We really liked our room and the hotel location however it was extremely noisy until late at night and started early in the morning. We really liked Kimberly at the front desk and her communication and helpful attitude were extremely welcome for our stay.

Old world charm

The hotel was generally clean. We had to stay in 2 different "family rooms" with one being much larger than the other. We were charged twice and are still trying to get the bill fixed. The public area of the hotel is quite beautiful and there is often someone playing the piano which can be heard evn inside one's room. The room was clean. Both rooms looked into an interior courtyard and the windows couldn't be opened.

The property is gorgeous, located in the heart of Casco Viejo. Many dining options available at the hotel and nearby. The staff at this facility truly provide the best customer service experience for me.

I am struggling to write a review here as there were things that I liked and things that were really not up to the mark. Pros would be the great location and the beautiful architecture of the building. However; we were in a junior suite (room 135) which is directly below the gym. There was too much noise during the day when the gym was operational and at night, the music from the pool area would continue past mid night. It was impossible to sleep. We had to ask tue reception to swap rooms. We were moved to room 205 which was quieter.

Wonderful stay and very friendly staff. Lighting in the room had some issues (flickers on and of randomly) and water easily comes out when taking shower (a plastic lip under the glass door could easily help) otherwise great stay in a perfect location.

Just got back from three wonderful days at the Central Hotel. From the exquisite architecture to the accommodating staff I loved every minute. Each day I walked 5 miles in the area discovering the wonderful shops, cafes, restaurants and churches in the area. I look forward to a return visit.

We absolutely love this hotel. The staff were super nice, building was clean and our room was quite nice. The restaurants were also nice, and the food was well prepared. I would recommend to anyone and I would stay again. The bar served a signature drink that was smoked, I don't remember the name but it was delicious. There was an area near by about 4 block over that was heavily patrolled, and I believe this was for safety.
