Unsafe to stay. Had to book alternative accommodation.
The accommodation fell far short of acceptable standards and was not safe to stay, particularly with a young child. The pictures on the VRBO listing are extremely misleading and do not reflect the true condition of the property. We booked it for three nights but had to leave shortly after check-in and book alternative accommodation last minute due to:Excessive Humidity: The apartment was uncomfortably humid, and had an unpleasant odor.Mold: We noticed mold in various areas, which raised significant health concerns, especially for the child.Broken Furniture: The supports underneath the sofa were broken. I sat down and literally fell through to the floor. Dirty Mattresses: Mattresses were dirty and had large water stains.We asked for a refund and they told us best they could do was to give us a refund for one out of the three nights and insisted that we stayed at the property for the full three nights although we left within an hour of checking in and seeing the condition of the place.On top of that, the check in process was extremely difficult. We did not receive any communication from the property either by email or through the VRBO platform. I sent a message via the VRBO platform the day before asking about the check in process with no response.The next day, check-in was at 3pm so we got to the area around 2pm and had to call them several times to get hold of them. We waited around outside for roughly three hours before we could finally check in.
