This hotel made a FRAUDULENT CHARGE to my card.
I stayed here from October 3-4, 2025. I chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and offered a free shuttle. We had an early morning flight and I wanted a hotel that would offer safe transport.
The room smelled awful. We also had an awful experience with getting spots on the shuttle. Essentially, the shuttle was mentioned in the booking and welcome emails as available to all, but when you go to reserve a spot, they tell you it is "only for VIP persons". Many people had to book an Uber or taxi. We did eventually get spots on the shuttle, and the driver said there was no such VIP rule.
Regarding the fraudulent charge: I used my card for the normal hold they apply, and although the hold was later reversed, a new charge appeared 2 days later. I emailed the hotel, and they said they would get in touch with the front desk to understand why this charge was applied. I emailed a few times and never got an answer. I contacted Visa about this, and they later reversed the charge. However, I just got a letter notifying me that they would be re-applying the charge. The hotel said I authorized payment for their tourist taxes with my card. I actually paid that in cash and have the receipt. Visa sent me the hotel's "proof", which is a receipt with someone else's name and address, for a stay from Oct 3-6. I could not have possibly authorized this purchase, but my credit card info is listed on the receipt as “pre-authorized”.
