As soon as we got to the hotel they told us the elevator was out of service and they gave me a room on the fifth floor. Me and my family had to drag our luggage all the way to the fifth floor.
The room it was not what it look on the pictures when I reserved the room.
The one on the picture it look bigger and look remodeled the one I got was crowded and old.
I was told they were going to give us another room which never happened.
We left site seeing and came back late to find out the A/C was not working so I opened the window but they had construction going out side and it was pretty loud. So it was the heat or the noise.
Next morning before we when out site seeing again I told the receptionist about the a/c I even told the cleaning guy. When we arrived that night I picked up the key for the room and ask the guy if they had fix the a/c on the room or if they were going to change us rooms but he said no one told him anything nor had they left any notes. The elevator was still down.
So I when up to my room and waited for someone to go check the A/C which no one showed up.
For three nights we complained about the A/C and they do not seem to care.
Tired of walking and going up and down stairs from site seeing and to come back to the hotel and do the same with a hot and noisy room and reception do not seem to care.
I about had it and book another hotel room and left that place which again they do not care.
It was a waste of money. I even prepaid for breakfast, what a waste

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Loved the location. Convenient to two main train stations, Gare du Nord and Gare de L’est, and the metro. The bed sagged in the middle. Breakfast of €12 not worth it.
It was very clean, service was good, near lots of lovely bars and restaurants, right next door to station, so good for getting about. A little tired, but very comfy, would definately stay again

Partially, partially, it was noisy because of construction, and it was cold because there was no heating and no bathtub.
We had amazing time @ this hotel. I was with my 8 years old daughter and found the hotel safety. The rooms was extrimely small but this is Europe not North America and we found it unique and charming. I don't understand why people put less stars for that. It should not compare one country with another at different continents and different style of living. If you want bigger rooms pay more for another hotel. But for us this one was everything we looked for. The location was great. Walking distance to the Opera from there we took Hop off Hop on bus and we were able to enjoy Paris. The staff was amazing - very friendly and helpful. Thanks to them we were able to use Hop off Hop on bus for 2 days like a taxi and to pay just for a day. Thank you for your gread advise and help. The luggage storage was great service too.We only had to cross the street and to take the train to Beauvais.
I would stay at this hotel again if I go to Paris.

Good location. Budget stay
Good central location near Gare du Nord Station. Small room, ok minimalist furniture - served its purpose. Elevator not working - had to take luggage up the stairs.

On the night of my stay, the elevator was out of service. I’m not sure that it was on the schedule to be repaired. It seemed like it was the norm to drop heavy luggage in the reception area and have staff deliver to the room. I was on 3rd floor. I had to wait the following morning for staff to arrive to bring the luggage down. Fortunately I had booked a train late enough. This location is very convenient to both train stations.

Liked: Cleanliness
Mediocre, old stained furniture in the room, didn't like the fact that had to give back the room key to the reception everytime we left the room, and ask for it on arrival, havent seen that anywhere else in the world.
The hotel is run down and woman at front dest was extremely rude! She had no manners and thinks she can be disrespectful to hotel guest! When we were sleeping someone was trying to open our door. The room is no smoking yet smelled like smoke. The location is good if traveling by train. Cabs are expensive to travel to iconic locations. The roads outside hotel under construction. Very hard to get out.
I like the $17 Euro Breakfast downstairs in the dungeon where there’s an actual knight statue in armor plate with a semi-sharp knife) on display :). Very centrally & conveniently located if your taking the Eurostar!
