Disappointing Marais Apartment

This property is grossly misrepresented. The space is really in the basement and not in the pretty courtyard shown in the picture. The furnishings are not bright and airy as shown in the photos. The shower was moldy and dirty and the hand shower was broken. The bedroom is a loft and I am 5-2 and still could not sit up in bed. the entry is so small it was very hard to navigate with the bags. All in all very sad and depressing. The one good thing was that my friend's bag was stolen and the keys were in the bag - and the owner's answered right away and came with replacement keys. They other terrible thing was that they charged us almost $60 for a late check out. I have stayed in many excellent VRBO's and was not impressed by this one.

A small space in Marais

A bit disappointing. Space is very small,grout in shower needs to be cleaned with bleach and a scrubbing brush. Note that the sleeping platform is close to the ceiling and you can’t sit up in bed. There is a small leak from the washing machine which runs down next to the kitchen cupboards. Storage could be improved by adding cube storage under the hanging rail. Kitchen is fairly well equipppec but lacks a corkscrew! Location is good. The bed is comfortable and the linen is clean.

The area was great but the flat was not as listed and shown in photos. Incredibly small with one bed almost touching the roof Very disconcerting The whole space was more like a cupboard than an apartment

Small and only one roll of toilet paper

This is a very small property and really too small for more than two people, and we were three adults. It was booked through my cousin, but although I sent an email requesting further correspondence be sent to me, emails kept being sent to my cousin. There was only one partial roll of tp, no laundry detergent, and only two towels. Also no extra blankets. Although both my cousin and I emailed about this, the response was that everything had been provided. We had to buy some of the items ourselves. The neighborhood is not particularly exciting or close to anything except a Monoprix and another similar store. Luckily it was within walking distance to the metro. If you want a charming restaurant or local nice stores for special cheese and breads, or an overall inviting neighborhood, I would suggest elsewhere. This said, we had a coffee maker, minimum dishes and such, and a washer/dryer. Also the apartment is on the ground floor, easier for suitcases. The double bed is in a loft accessible by stairs but very low ceiling. Just enough room to crawl into bed and sleep. The other places we stayed in France were far superior and similar in price. Perhaps we were expecting too much for a place in Paris, but I would not book here again. Owners not very welcoming, unlike at the other places where we stayed.
