The Lowell House is a five-bedroom Old Town home on Lowell Avenue, a short walk down the hill to the Park City Mountain base and ten minutes on foot to Main Street. Three king suites, two living areas, a private hot tub on a covered patio, and a private garage with ski storage make the home well-suited for multigenerational families and groups of 10 to 12.

This is a five-bedroom home in Old Town, Park City, a short walk to the Park City Mountain base, best suited for multigenerational families, two-family ski trips, and adult ski groups who want walkable lift access and proximity to Main Street. The home is not ski-in/ski-out, and the classic Old Town construction includes three levels of stairs with no elevator.

At a Glance

Three king suites, two bunk rooms, sleeps twelve

Short walk to Town Lift and First Time chair at Park City Mountain

Ski-back access via Kings Crown, with a short walk to the home

Ten-minute walk to Main Street dining and shops

Private hot tub on covered patio with mountain views

Two separate living areas across three levels

Private garage with ski rack and boot warmers

Mini-split air conditioning, gas fireplace, high-speed Wi-Fi

Layout and Sleeping

The home sleeps twelve across three king suites and two bunk rooms. The primary suite is on the lower level, with a king bed, an en-suite bath with a double vanity, and a tub-shower combo. Two additional king suites give adult couples private sleeping space, one with an en-suite bath and one with access to a full bath. Two bunk rooms hold six twin beds: one with two twin-over-twin bunks, one with a single twin-over-twin bunk. Bathrooms total five, with the primary en-suite plus four full baths.

The Home

The main living area features vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace, expansive windows, and an open flow into the dining area and kitchen. The kitchen opens directly into the gathering space, with quartz counters, stainless steel appliances, and prep space for preparing meals for groups of ten to twelve. Recently updated furnishings and finishes elevate the home to the more modern Old Town inventory tier while preserving its classic Park City feel. A second living area downstairs features a large sectional, a Smart TV, and an Xbox for kids or a separate group. The private hot tub on the covered patio is the best after-ski spot in the home, usable through winter thanks to the cover.

Location and Access

The Lowell House is located at 1190 Lowell Avenue, a short walk down the hill to the Park City Mountain base, where the Town Lift and First Time chair load. The location makes this home one of the most walkable five-bedroom rentals in Old Town for skiers who walk to the lift in the morning and ski back via Kings Crown in the afternoon. Main Street is a ten-minute walk to dining, the Egyptian Theatre, galleries, and shops; the return is uphill. The Old Town Transit Center at Lowell Avenue and Manor Way is the hub of Park City's free bus system and connects to Deer Valley, Canyons Village, and Kimball Junction without a car. Salt Lake City International Airport is 35 to 45 minutes by car.

Seasonal Notes

Winter: The walk to the Park City Mountain base, garage ski storage, and boot warmers organize the gear and parking logistics for most Old Town ski trips. The covered hot tub stays usable through the season.

Summer: Main Street events, the Park Silly Sunday Market, and the Egyptian Theatre are reachable on foot. Park City Mountain hiking and biking trailheads are walkable, with access to the Mid Mountain and Armstrong trails from the resort base. Mini-split air conditioning is a meaningful advantage in July and August.

FAQs

Overall

The house was smaller than we thought it would be per VRBO online pictures. Bedrooms and bathrooms were small and tight for 12 people! We also were frustrated with the high VRBO fee we were in aware of- we had a LOT of fees through trip and VRBO. Overall we enjoyed our visit thanks to the town, location, and the company we were in!

Despicable

We arrived at this property and within the hour we realized that the fridge was not working. We had $1000 worth of food and drink that would spoil without a working fridge, especially during a 99+ degree weekend. The customer service phone line we were given was never answered over the 5 calls we placed and left voicemails. We were only reached out to via text message and then received a phone call 24 hours after the initial outreach. The maintenance person showed up 2+ hours after the initial phone call expressing concern about the fridge. We were offered the option to move next door to a property that did not have air conditioning or we could store our food in the fridge next door and stay in the property we booked with air conditioning (which is necessary during 99+ degree weather). We spent the entire weekend staying in one home while all of our perishable food was in the fridge next door - to eat any of it, we had to either eat it next door or bring it back to our property. I would strongly recommend that any interested guests find a property elsewhere to protect yourselves.

A Memorable Weekend!

Our weekend stay at this home was a delightful experience overall. The house's wood character and convenient 3-minute walk to the ski slopes and shuttle service set the stage for a memorable mountain retreat. Pros included flexible early check-in and late check-out (with advance notice), a well-stocked kitchen, family-friendly gathering spaces, and comfortable sleeping quarters. The invigorating hot tub and abundance of towels added to the appeal. However, there were some cons, such as a toilet paper oversight (though they offered reimbursement), a delayed check-in due to maintenance, and parking challenges leading to two friends getting towed. Despite these issues, the property management team's responsive communication and efforts to address concerns contributed to an overall positive experience. If planning a ski weekend, this home offers a charming setting and convenient location.

park city with family

excited to travel with family to park city for two nights. unfortunately did not have a seamless stay as hoped. the property was in a good location, with easy access to main street. rooms were big and beds we’re comfortable. wifi and cable did not work the entire first day and a half of our stay. while the maintenance and property managers were trying to fix it, they did not offer any solutions or help us out in any way. eventually we got the wi-fi to work on our own however it was tarnishing on our stay, especially with young children and people trying to work. there were A LOT of stairs at the property, all rooms are at least two flights down which was tough. overall we had a fine experience but would not stay again.

Great Place, Managed Poorly

Rented this property for a group of 11 attending a wedding in Park City. I tried to ask a couple questions beforehand and did not receive consistent response from the property manager. The property was not freshly cleaned before our arrival although I was charged an extra fee to check in early because “cleaners would be required to come early”. The house worked for us overall but it’s not well maintained so if you care about cleanliness or details, look elsewhere. The trash was not taken out from the last guests so the garage smelled absolutely horrendous. No lights were on for us as we arrived and many of the lamps were unplugged so we had to set it all up ourselves. The blinds are too tangled to pull up/down. The hot tub was cold (couldn’t enjoy it until the second day) and the temp inside the house was at 59. There was a broken glass sitting on the sink and broken wood beams in the middle of the balcony when we arrived. Some of the shower towels had stains. The house did not have ANY toilet paper or trash bags when we arrived and we had to wait until the second day to get any from the cleaning crew. When they brought supplies they left them at the front door, rang the doorbell and ran away which I found odd. A very loud alarm sounded in the middle of the night while everyone was asleep (for a minute or so) and then turned off on its own. It was unclear what kind of alarm it was or what triggered it to go off but it caused concern/disruption. Great location and overall it seems like it has the potential to be an awesome rental but the maintenance/management has clearly fallen short. The lack of communication and concern for our comfort was super disappointing.

Good location

The folks at iTrip were in constant communication. The trip went very well. We enjoyed the proximity to downtown and the ski lifts. It was late in the season so there was no way to ski near the house at the end of the day. There was only one frying pan for breakfast, but we made due. And we only had a garage code to get in and out of the house. All minor details in an otherwise great trip,
