Great building, refinements to service required

Great hotel with lovely waiting staff for dinner. Room very warm at night. Breakfast staff refused to let me have sausage & bacon on a different plate which was odd, and food wasn’t replenished during breakfast. Nobody asked if the stay was ok when checking out.

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel with excellent location. The staff at the reception were lovely and accommodating but unfortunately the restaurant staff didn't show the same hospitality. Nevertheless an excellent place to stay when visiting Parnu.

Magical place !

This is truly a magical, peaceful and wholesome experience. It's green to no extent. It has a real fountain in the garden on the property and performance stage. Service is top notch and rooms are cozy and very very clean. My absolute best recommendation to anyone seeking best service !!!

Villa Ammende is a fascinating historic building. The rooms are lovely and the common spaces are beautifully furnished and intimate. It’s a wonderful property. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful.

Visit to Estonia

The Ammende Villa was absolutely outstanding. Very interesting architecture. The rooms we had on the 3rd floor were large and beautiful. It is a short walk into town. And a good value for a top hotel. I highly recommend it if you plan to be in the Parnu area of Estonia.

For Lovers of Art Nouveau

I chose to stay there for its architectural value. (There is even a Wikipedia article on the place.) It bills itself as one of only three truly Art Nouveau hotels in the world. While I don't know if that is accurate, it truly is a beautiful hotel that they maintain quite lovingly. They should actually give tours of the place as it would have enhanced my stay. The hotel has a great location right between the beach and the Old Town. It is just a short walk to both as well as to the bus station. On the down side, I found the included breakfast to be quite skimpy for the price of the room. There just wasn't the variety that you would expect to see in even far less expensive hotels in Estonia. Also, the wifi was shoddy at best. I stayed in a Junior Suite with a Terrace in the Villa itself. Some of the rooms are actually in the adjacent Gardner's House. If you don't stay in the Main Building, I definitely think that one could do better in Parnu. Overall, I had a pleasant stay there. But one night was definitely sufficient for me.

Surprise in Parnu, Estonia

Hotel is beautifully decorated with Nouveau artwork and traditional furniture. Guest house rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Staff were all very courteous and helpful and knowledgeable about the property's heritage. We participated in the "Full Moon" party that included a delicious dinner and interesting presentation by a local astronomer. He had a telescope set up, but skies were completely overcast. Breakfast was delicious. The entire grounds were groomed with flowers and outside eating area.We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Unique stay

Overall it was nice but there is room for improvement. The rooms are spacious, very clean, beautiful furniture and a huge TV. The beautiful villa is getting already outdated, specially visible in the bathrooms. Stayed in March and it was quite chilly - the staff had put an extra electrical heater in our room (thanks for that) but the bathroom was too cold (cold floor) to take a bath but - loved the huge mirrors on the bathroom wall. Also missed the tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Dinner was tasty, breakfast too - loved the a la carte menu and fresh OJ. But - the service was constant waiting. It is a small hotel and max 20 people at breakfast but the cold buffet was constantly missing something- may it be glasses, juice, food or something else.. Empty plates cleared not too often either. It general it is a great hotel - still way better than most - but i guess the expectations are high. It used to be a 5-star, guess it is 4-star now.

It is very rare and artistic hotel. Just that the lighting of the lobby makes people feel a bit scary at night. The design of the bathroom can be improved that the floor of the whole bathroom is wet after shower
