It sits 70 kilometres east of the capital of Russia, Moscow.

Set aside time to learn about the local people at the Shirokov House or the History of Russian Scarfs and Shawls Museum. You should also save some time for the Pavlovsky Posad Museum of Art and History.

Join the other passionate fans encouraging the Saturn Oblast at their home turf of Saturn Stadium, 40 kilometres away in Ramenskoye. Fit in with the locals by wearing the club's colours, blue and black.

Leave a trail of white powder in your wake as you zip down the trails at Kant Ski Slope. Powder hounds will also want to make the trip to Waypark Ski Slope.

Venture further afield and find out what's happening in Orekhovo-Zuyevo, 16 kilometres to the east. Many visitors come here for the Likino Dulevo Museum of Local Lore and the Orekhovo Zuevsky City Exhibition Hall. Alternatively, Elektrostal is 17 kilometres to the west of Pavlovskiy Posad. Visit this locality for easy access to the Noginsk Museum and Exhibition Centre and the Electrostal History and Art Museum.

Ostrovtsy, 50 kilometres to the southwest, is a great little excursion Use it as a port of call when swinging by Church of Vladimir, Guy Severin Ski Club and Bykovo Manor. If you need more persuading, other nearby sights include Sklon TSAGI and Sklon NPP Zvezda.

Ice skating and hiking are both quite popular with the locals. These outdoor pastimes will allow you to experience this awesome region from an entirely different viewpoint.

Make your way through the region's art museums, history museums, art galleries, craft workshops and theatres. They are wonderful places to go when the rain starts pelting down.

Situated 45 kilometres to the southwest is Zhukovsky Airport (ZIA), the nearest terminal. Make sure you give yourself ample time to find it.
