A gentle slope leads to 200+ feet of waterfront with a floating dock—perfect for tying off your boat during your stay. Guests often describe the property as a tranquil wonderland.

Enjoy the firepit, wiffleball field, bucket golf, fishing poles, gas grill, darts, canoe/kayak, and a large paver patio ideal for outdoor dining and stargazing. Rent a boat from the nearby marina and dock it overnight throughout your stay. Just a short drive to local restaurants and grocery stores, and a quick boat ride to waterfront bars and dining.

The Best Family Vacation

We had the most wonderful stay at the Time Out Too! Ben was such a great host! He was extremely helpful and responsive. The house has everything you could possibly need and more. My kids played on the wiffle ball field and in the tree house and we spent the days in the lake and fishing on the dock. The dock is located in the perfect little cove, where you have privacy and space to swim and paddle around without being near the other boats. My favorite thing was sitting on the amazing porch at night and looking at all the deer that wander the property. We had the most relaxing, enjoyable week together at this picturesque lake front property and hope to be back again! Until next time, Smith Mountain Lake!

10 Day Wedding Getaway

What a beautiful place to stay at Smith Mountain Lake in Penhook Virginia. My sister was getting married and we needed a place to stay nearby and Time Out Too was just perfect. The cottage is set up really nice with everything you could possibly need. The beds are super comfy and I'm really picky over bed pillows and these were wonderful! The views overlooking the lake were amazing and the veranda was perfect for drinking our morning coffee and sipping on cocktails in the evening. We travel with our dogs and they loved the fenced in yard, it's great for zoomies! Sandy's Grill, right around the bend at Lumpkins Marina is a great place to get breakfast or grab a burger, it's literally three minutes away. If you want somewhere peaceful to getaway, this is definitely the place to stay, I highly recommend it, and look forward to going back! Angela M and family
