The air conditioning unit is located at the top of the bed and was extremely noisy. It turned on and off all night long. It was too hot to turn it off so for a light sleeper it was a sleepless night. Person at desk acknowledged other complaints about the noise from the A/C.

Very pleasant small hotel perfectly located for the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Collection. The rooms are quite serviceable, but small with unnecessarily complicated technology (lights, mirrors with maps in them), and the bed is comfortable (but the pillows were large and hard). There’s not anything around in the way of restaurants, but it’s not too far to better options by bus. For the price, it’s a good choice if you want to visit the nearby cultural attractions.

Good property but had to find parking but that was not too big a deal. LAZ parking was down the street for $9 overnight. Easy access to Museum of Art and Kelly Drive running trails.

We have stayed at the Maj Hotel a number of times and normally have found it better than this visit. There was no luggage rack in the room, the toilet paper holder was broken, the electronic messaging screen on bathroom mirror wasn’t working. As always the staff was very pleasant and friendly and the room rate was reasonable (we had used other Philadelphia hotels on our two most recent monthly visits as the room rates had gotten ridiculously high for certain weekends in Philly).

The most wonderful hotel. Super lovely lobby with all the plants, nice decor and wonderful host. The room was nice, highly functional, clean, private, and quiet. Beginning to end a wonderful place to stay. I strongly recommend.

I asked about recycling and was told that there was no recycling everything was trash. Not a good response. Esmeralda was wonderful at front desk when we arrived. I requested museum tickets but the person at the desk did not know how that was done and promised she would leave a note but we never got tickets. The breakfasts were amazing delicious. Room was very nice.
