My check-in experience was extremely disappointing. I was initially allocated a room right next to a construction site, which was unacceptable given the nightly rate. After raising the issue, I had to wait one and a half hours to be moved to another room, and even then, the new room did not offer a satisfactory view.
To add to the frustration, the coffee machine in the replacement room was broken. I waited over an hour for it to be replaced. While the staff attempted to make amends by offering a bottle of champagne, I don’t drink champagne, so the gesture didn’t feel particularly thoughtful.
As a solo traveler paying close to $750 AUD per night, I expected a far higher standard of quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet those expectations, and it’s not a property I would recommend.
That said, I did genuinely enjoy the service at the lounge, which was consistently pleasant and one of the highlights of my stay.
Overall, despite a few positive aspects, I would not choose to return.
