Exceptional, quality, luxury are a few words that come to mind when I think of our time spent here. From the attentive check in, to keeping the kitchen open so we could dine, every one was superbly prepared to do their jobs to a level far superior than other luxury hotels. We didn’t have a top tier room but we were treated as if we did. Thats true class.

Light system over-engineered and functionally problematic. First night unable to turn off lights without shutting down all power in the room. Hotel concierge wasn't even able to fix this. Tv in the bothroom vanity lacked remote control and could not be turned off without turning off fuse switch in the closet. Closet light motion sensor misprogrammed and light remained on for 30 minutes after any motion in the room. Again required fully turning off power in the room. Required lengthy involvement of maintenance crew the next day to resolve all of this.

Lovely experience staying at Sacher. We were greeted warmly, even given a tour of the hotel and escorted to our room. The location is perfect since many attractions and restaurants are walking distance. Extra special to see fruit and the famous Sacher torte waiting for us in the room. And we had no idea that this is where Julie Andrews stayed when filming Sound of Music!
