Great location, but lacking in many other aspects. Check in was straightforward and on time.On day 1 we noticed our microwave was broken. The host responded immediately and got a maintenence person out, but it took 2 more days to get a replacement. We resorted to cooking everything and/or reheating in the oven and discovered that every baking dish had some other family's grease or crust on it... additionally, the pull handle on the oven popped off on one side due to stripped screws so for the remainder of the trip we had to very carefully open the door from one side only. The host didn't offer any help with that, but it's our hope that this review will encourage them to upgrade the kitchen features. I think there were about 9 forks total for a cabin that's supposed to sleep 13... On day 3 of our 5 day trip a horrible septic smell began in the bottom floor and by the 5th and final morning it was overwhelmingly bad. We hadn't had any issues with it and as a family with septic tanks ourselves, we know what not to do. I did tell the host and they said they'd get a plumber out to look before the next guests... on positive notes, the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were nice with good water pressure, the hot tub was great. This place needs a deep clean and a refresh and it would be great, but it's struggling to keep up with the demands on it.
