Disappointing stay.

Very Disappointed. Tired, worn down surroundings. Dull colours, worn carpets, and generally not very welcoming. Room was drab, two wee windows (one didn't open) Couldn't get power at wall sockets but had that explained AT CHECKOUT -too late to find out-worked by second switch at door. Bathroom very dated. Broken tile. Came back into room to find a plumber repairing flush. Tho he was very polite I did get a fright to find someone in my room. Grounds need tidying and weeding

The bed was hard like concrete. It was so small and we could not even turn to lie on our backs, it was that small. We slept on our side, and it was so hard.

Dated and neglected

From the outside the hotel look very nice. However inside it is very dated and feels run down and neglected. The bed was very small and hard. The room was very basic and looked cheap! We had a terribbke nights sleep and woke stiff and achy! The staff were pleasant. I would not recommend this hotel.

Stately looking building from the outside. Check in didn’t feel particularly welcoming or friendly. Room was spacious but dated. Breakfast selection was poor and again staff unfriendly/didn’t want to be there! Shame as could be lovely but needs money spending & staff training.

Overall not impressed woth this hotel whatsoever. We cut our stay short. The hotel is outdated, dirty poor qaulity of food and the list goes on. Only saving grace the staff were really good. Hotel refused a refund. Does not match pictures or advert avoid.

The hotel is fantastic, so big and very roomy. Massively dog friendly which was main reason for booking. Pool facilities etc great for rainy days. The one drawback which comes with age, the floors are very creaky, you hear above and next door moving in room. If the creaky floors were dealt with then there is nothing to complain about. But even with that we would still stay there again on next visit to Pitlochry.

Way too many dogs in the building and open areas. Room with a view paid for only to witness dog owners allowing their dogs to foul in the open grass/areas & gardens. Dogs barking indoors in public areas and in rooms. Majority of staff were foreign nationals, which may have caused limited/no interpersonal exchanges or welcome on arrival nor thanks for custom. The management team only spoke when customers approached them.
