The property itself was amazing. Clean, quiet, attached to a casino and friendly staff. The only complaint that I have is, there are no vending machines in the hotel. I want to be able to get snacks and drinks at whatever time I want them. They have something of a "virtual market" but, when you visit the site, the only thing to drink is Pepsi in a bottle or a giant Gatorade. Pepsi is disgusting! The point is, there are no options on there. I also want room service before 4PM and certainly after 10PM so, they could do something to improve on that but other than that, the place was AWESOME!

We chose to stay at The Landing hotel due to its proximity to PNC Park. Having a casino on the premises was a bonus for my husband, who really loves to play poker. Plus, the free overnight valet parking and overall price of the room per night were impossible to beat anywhere else. This hotel has everything going for it. Check-in was easy enough, although we did have to hear from a manager about how our 14 year-old son could not be in the room alone at any point. Apparently, this is a rule of the hotel for anyone 14 and under. At least they are very concerned about safety! Overall, the room was very nice, and we had more than enough space for our two-night stay. The morning breakfast, which was included as part of our deal, was plentiful. Numerous hot items combined with pastries and bread and muffins, in addition to yogurt and oatmeal, provided a wonderful start to our mornings. The hotel's location right next to the river was also fabulous. We walked up and down the well-kept walkway multiple times, and we took the walking route to PNC Park for a Pirates-Astros game. We also felt safe enough walking home from the park at night back to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. My husband also plans to return at some point on a guys trip to watch baseball and/or football, and he said he will definitely stay at this hotel when he does.
